The color of the tuna made it look similar to fresh and it was tender and juicy. The seasoning was overbearing if you used the entire packet...recommend adding small amounts until you get the desired level of seasoning.

purchased this on a whim and I'm so glad I did! The quality and flavor were excellent. I did think the shoyu was a little too salty for my liking but I know I can adjust the sauce the next time I purchase this.

I really enjoyed these. Very convenient and economical. Sashimi grade tuna at specialty fish markets are so expensive. Delicious but not always economical for me. I recommend tasting the sauce before you mix it into your tuna. Also, I added white onion, green onion and diced avocado, which really bumps up the flavor. The sauces are a little salty. My kids have nut allergies, so I made my own sauce the first time and saved it for later. The second time, I spooned out some of the packet oil, and added avocado oil back in, so it wasn't so salty.

This is an easy to prepare meal that is really good. Just sent the individually sealed tuna and sauce packet in a cold water bath while you cook some rice in a rice cooker. By the time your rice is done, the fish is thawed. Mix with sauce packet with tuna and place it on a boel of rice. Enjoy a quick and easy poke bowl!

My husband and I were lucky enough to live on O'ahu for nearly 5 years. Since then we've missed good poke terribly, none of the places local to us even come close, especially for the insane prices they charge. Then I saw these at my local Sam's, skeptically looked at the ingredient list: Kukui nut? White shoyu? And right then that box went straight in my cart. I was skeptical still but we had to try it. Got some good sushi rice going in the rice maker, finely sliced some sweet onion and green onion up too. Topped with furikkake to keep with tradition. My goodness, it's been 4 years since we've had good poke but this did it. We both agreed we would gladly serve any of our Hawai'ian friends this poke when they come to visit. I've had worse poke on O'ahu, which is crazy to say but true. My husband hates mayo so we were glad none were mayo sauces. The spicy poke has a decent kick to it, which may put some off but was a huge plus for us! The ahi itself was surprisingly fantastic. No tough pieces, just super tender delicious ahi in perfect little cubes. All three flavors/sauces were great. We ended up mixing the shoyu and spicy together, and honestly I'd love to mix all 3 together the next time we prepare because it sounds great. My only suggestion is to let the ahi marinate in the sauce for a couple of hours versus serving right away as indicated on the package instructions. I really hope Sam's keeps these in stock because my husband and I are planning on buying monthly (if not more often). What a great find!

I think that people that buy this know what to expect because it's frozen.

Finally Poke at home!! They have Tuna, now I wish they had Salmon
