We're very sorry you're having this experience. Our Febreze AIR contains a natural propellant gas. If the can is shaken or tilted up or down while spraying, excess gas will escape. Denise, we're very sorry you're having this experience. Our Febreze AIR is an aerosol which uses a natural gas (nitrogen) as it's propellant. If you shake the can, or tilt it too far up or down when spraying, it will cause excess amounts of the gas to escape. Unfortunately once the nitrogen has been emptied from the can the aerosol spray will not work and any remaining product will remain in the can.
