We use 100% natural nitrogen as the propellant, and the nitrogen occupies the space above the liquid. The container has the proper amount of nitrogen needed to dispense the volume of liquid adequately. The weight listed on the package reflects the fill level of the liquid in the container. We understand why you might be confused, Ron, and believe your bottles were half full. Our Quality Team assures us every bottle contains 8.8 ounces of Febreze scent; the area that appears empty is filled by the invisible propellant gas. We use nitrogen, a naturally occurring gas to move the Febreze goodness from the can into your space. Be sure you don't shake the can when you spray it, as excess nitrogen will be released, leaving product intended to be used inside your can. Every can of Febreze AIR, no matter the scent, holds 8.8 ounces of liquid, and enough nitrogen propellant to aerate the liquid, propelling it into your space.
