Great smell

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I recently tried Guy Laroche Drakkar Noir, and I have to say—this is a seriously good scent for men. Right from the first spray, I noticed how bold and masculine it is. It opens with a mix of lavender and citrus that feels fresh, but then it settles into a deeper, woody vibe with hints of pine and leather. It’s the kind of cologne that makes you feel confident and put-together. I wore it out in the evening, and it lasted for hours without fading. Honestly, it feels classic without being outdated. If you’re into strong, timeless fragrances that leave an impression, Drakkar Noir is a solid pick. I’m really glad I gave it a shot.

Memory Unlocked

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ll be transparent; I’m never going to wear this fragrance out in public. But when I want the feeling of nostalgia, a time in my childhood when I was around elderly men who were great orators, a strong presence in the family, a hard lover of their women, I’ll spritz a few in the air. It just reminds me of a bygone time that I know I can’t get beck or won’t see again. It was a simple time. Cable was basic, malls were packed, people sat down to eat in Wendy’s. That’s what I think of when smelling this. It’s a timeless and affordable fragrance that I’ll definitely gift the elders I still have in my life.

Great

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got this from influenster. Wanna step right back into the late 80s and early 90s when you didn’t know it yet, but Nirvana was about to change your life, Boyz to Men were singing in a high school bathroom, and Days of Thunder was about to rock the box office? Heck yes you do, and why not splash on a little nostalgia called Drakkar Noir. Sure it loosely translates to Black Night but scholars say it translates to Fighting Puma, no wonder it has such a fierce and captivating scent

Classic Masculine Scent

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Drakkar Noir opens with a sharp, aromatic burst of lavender, lemon, and bergamot—instantly clean, almost medicinal, but undeniably assertive. As it settles, you get heart notes of spicy juniper, coriander, and cinnamon blended with a strong pine and oakmoss base. The dry-down is rich with leather, patchouli, and cedarwood, giving it an enduring earthiness. The scent is classic, albeit a bit dated.

Manly but sweet scent

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received a sample of this product, so while I can’t comment on how long it lasts I can comment on the scent. This scent is very good, manly but sweet if that makes sense. My wife absolutely loves the scent. It’s great for a night out or for vacation wear. The scent seems to last many hours before needing to re-apply. Highly recommend.

Great scent

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] There’s something unapologetic about Drakkar Noir. From the first sharp burst of lavender and citrus, it doesn’t whisper—it announces itself. This is not a fragrance that tries to impress with sweetness or subtlety. It leans into its identity: dark, green, barbershop-fresh, and undeniably masculine. It’s a great price also.

Bold Scent

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a great new scent to add to anyone’s collection. It has a nice aromatic base with some woody and slightly spicy scent to it. It is definitely bold so caution should be used to not wear an overpowering amount. I personally use it more for outside of work rather than at work because it is a stronger scent. That being said, I do find that I like it and it has a good amount of staying power to last an entire evening.

A classic, but dated.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Drakkar Noir is a cologne that definitely has its place in fragrance history, but it feels a bit stuck in the past. The scent is bold and masculine, with a strong herbal, woody, and slightly spicy profile—think lavender, oakmoss, and patchouli. It’s undeniably nostalgic, evoking the 80s and 90s, which could be a plus if you’re into retro vibes. However, that’s also its downfall. The fragrance can come off as overpowering and synthetic by today’s standards, lacking the subtlety and sophistication of modern masculines. The longevity is decent, but the sillage is aggressive—great if you want to be noticed, not so great if you prefer something more understated. Overall, Drakkar Noir is a classic for a reason, but it hasn’t aged gracefully. If you’re feeling nostalgic or love bold, old-school scents, it might work for you. Otherwise, there are better options out there now.

Rich smell that exudes confidence

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Drakkar Noir has a complex and rich smell, that I've gotten several compliments for. It's also pretty strong and also noticeable by people who aren't immediately standing next to you. The packaging is smart, and it's worth the money!

Staple cologne

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a classic fragrance that has a great value and has impressive longevity considering the cost. It opens with a burst of citrus and herbs. As it starts to settle the juniper and cinnamon start to come out. Once it fully settles that is when the magic begins. The patchouli and smoky leather create a nice earthy leathery base perfect for any special occasions or cooler weather. It does go a long way and a less is more with this fragrance. The value of this fragrance is very good and it is a must have if you like bold and old-school colognes. I received this product for free from Influenster and Guy Laroche in exchange for my honest review.
