I have 6 of these, good rack. It has casters with 2 that lock or adjustable feet. Yes it’s chrome plated and had thin plastic sheets that cover each shelf. Totally adjustable in 1” to 2” increments. When installation lube up threaded inserts on poles as they tend to just turn into bottom tube, this way you will have equal amount of threads on each side. I didn’t notice until putting the one together today, it’s made in Vietnam

I have 3 of these units in my home. All of them work brilliantly and can store a TON of stuff. From a makeshift TV stand to a shelf full of kitchen supplies, this thing is awesome. Since it's on wheels it makes cleaning a breeze. Constructing them is the only downside, as you need someone else helping you to keep everything level.

1'st I've been buying these for years. They are strong and well priced. They are a bit fiddly to put together but I think anyone can do it. It takes me about 20 minutes to put one together. My problem is that I ordered 6 by mail. I thought at first that the delivery person just destroyed the boxes but now as I've put together 4 of them I find that most of them are used which is why the boxes are so beat up. I wouldn't be so ticked about this, people return things, but I'm missing parts, if you want to resell a product that's been returned as new then make sure everything is in the box. Now I get the joy of contacting the company and asking for parts instead of using my new shelves. These will rust if in a moist environment, I had it in a shed and those got grimy. Otherwise I like them enough that I keep buying them. The selves I'd rate as 4 stars but getting them used with missing parts put the review at 2 stars.

I bought this shelving unit to organize a 5x5 storage locker. Assembly took about 20-25 minutes. The only tool you need is a rubber mallet to get the shelves nice and tight. Read the fine print: the max weight capacity does not apply if you use the wheels. I opted for the leveling feet and the unit feels strong.

I bought this to go with the corner unit. After putting the corner unit together alone, I enlisted help with this one. It goes together fast and easy (with help) and is sturdy. The wheels are a plus for cleaning purposes. This would be a great unit to use for storage in the garage.

I have 10 of these racks in my garage and have had them for years. All are on wheels, and they have an average weight of 500 to 600 pounds on each one. A week ago, I bought 3 more and I put 300 pounds of weight on them and it's like I'm pushing and pulling them through sand. My older racks have heavy duty wheels on them, and these don't. These new wheels are thinner and smaller. If one set of wheels out of three gave me problems, then I might think that I got one set of bad wheels: but not all 3. I love these racks, but they are only good for stationary use for my purposes.

My husband had to move the crate and put it together because it is a heavy duty shelving unit. A two wheeled cart was necessary to get it into the basement. But we've already moved it once so the wheels are a real convenience that I like more than I realized when I purchased it.

Pros: sturdy looks great casters ample room per shelf nice height, fits through doorways but is tall excellent value for price clean and will stay that way rugged Oddities: shelf unit holds 3500 lbs on leveling feet, but only 500 on casters, which is less than the rated 600 per shelf you would get on the stationary feet. easy to put together, yet a little tricky in some ways--not difficult--tricky. I had to stop more than a few times due to the design of plastic brackets they include for holding the shelves in place. Though sturdy, they tend to move as you are placing the shelf, requiring you to redo that portion of the assembly.

I have been a customer of Sams club for many years, and I'm disappointed to say that When I pay for new merchandise I expect to receive new NOT USED! I'm using the unit as a single unit for now, which is fine. but when I received the box the unit was in it was pretty beat up and tapped up a lot. I opened the box and took out all the parts , and noticed all these little black plastic rings loose and a bunch of opened small boxes that I assumed where the rings belonged. As I start taking out the parts of the box and separating and organizing the parts , I noticed that the majority of the rings were broken, so this tells me that this unit has been either used or was a floor model. never less I ordered a new item and disappointingly received a used one. The rings apparently were to be used for if you wanted to divided the unit in two parts, and yes it would have been nice to have all the parts if one decides to make the unit into two parts. But I can use it as one for now. I feel that Sams Club should be more honest to their customers in what they are receiving whether its new, used, or a floor model. And since this is used and sent back to Samsclub and not checked out before placing it back on the shelf for resale or even a floor model and carelessly not checked out before repacking it to sell, Although I would still recommend this unit, I strongly feel as though Sams Club owes me some sort of a discount or comforsation for sending me a not only a used item , but with broken parts . I took pictures of the opened boxes and the broken plastic rings. And I ask to hear from Sams club on this problem .

My husband I and just bought our second set of these great shelves: the first holds the overage our kitchen requires and the new set does the same for my sewing room. I am impressed with how sturdy and easily adaptable the units are. One is used as a single set of shelves the second became a side by side unit. Putting them together taks a little time and thought but it is well worth the effort.
