I LOVE these racks but shipping sure does a number on them. I purchased 4 sets of the beautiful gray ones. Most of the top stoppers were cracked and unusable. Not a big deal for me since these are in the basement. Some of the shelves also had bends in them and some nicks. If they were going anywhere other than in the basement, I'd have exchanged them. I have purchased hundreds of these racks for my work and they hold up incredibly well. I think they need sturdier boxes and corner guards for the ones that are shipped.

I put two of these together by myself, and came up with this method: Assemble poles and wheels. Thread poles through the first shelf, and secure it as the bottom shelf. Lay the assembly on end, supported by four wooden blocks. I used pieces of 2x4. Set the plastic support pieces for the next shelf, and slide the shelf into place. Repeat for each shelf. You can move the blocks as needed. You could even assemble the lower shelves before screwing in the upper poles. Less chance for scratching. I might try that next time.

I bought seven of these for some shop organizing. Out of seven, four of the units were damaged. I purposely did an in store purchase to avoid shipping damage and what do you know I still got bent shelves and poles. The boxes we're in great condition so this tells me that sam's or their supplier has poor quality control. Shelves bent so bad that they either won't go down properly or only work as the top shelf. If I bought 7 and 4 were damaged then I know some people buying one are getting either good or bad product. The shelves are actually a great product if you receive damage free product, but you may get damaged pieces so the $89 is a risk. If it wasn't such a hassle to load these back up, I would demand a refund.

Just Fabulous... 1st time I purchased shelves was in 2006... they look as good as, when I pulled them out of the box ... 10 plus years later! It's 6/6/16; additional storage needed. During the past tem years I've purchased the plastic coated shelves as well as wood shelves... none have worked out, nor lasted. Ten years later, I decided to buy 3 more to create one full line of storage space. The shelves are great and the price is exactly what it cost ten years ago... I paid $99.00. Great Value and Best Quality Ever! Glad they still have the shelves available.

I bought this shelving system and it is great. I have my plants on it. Its great because you can move it out to clean under it or to clean the windows behind it. Its very sturdy and also a nice looking piece. I would recommend this item for any room or any use. Thinking about taking out the pantry shelves and putting in a couple of these instead.

I have had one of these shelving units for almost 10 years. I have it in the garage with the casters. I recently purchases two additional units for our basement storage room. They are very easy to assemble with only the assistance of an optional rubber hammer. The metal is very heavy and the unit is sturdy once assembled. The casters are good quality as well. I believe the reviews that find issues with the casters may be due to overloading the unit weight limitation. Be sure to note the difference in weight capacity with/without use of casters/wheels. I will be ordering more of these as I organize our storage room.

Glad I had it shipped to my house because this thing is big and heavy and I would never have been able to buy it from the store. The shipping was also inexpensive for the weight and I got 2 to set up one in garage and in my computer room. 6 shelves allowed a lot of stuff to be stored.

The item was delivered very late. After complaining to the SAM's CSR, approx 30mins after FedEx showed up with it. The box came badly damaged and opened so parts could fall out. I do not know if any parts were missing and was not willing to put the effort into finding out. How can Sam's allow an item to be shipped out with an open damaged box? The item was also very heavy so impossible for me to take it to the store to return. How do I request a return and exchange? ------------- Update: Sam's replaced the item. Wish I could give it 5 stars as the product itself is great and well thought out. It is very heavy but everything lined up making it super easy to assemble. You can do one unit of 6 shelves (you need two people to do this and have to secure it to the wall), or 2 sets of 3 shelves each. I did 2 shelves because it was too heavy to lift. It is sturdier than the smaller shelves. Now everything is organized.

This took forever to get to me. It came to my state and then went half way around the country before coming back. It had apparently lost its shipping tag for awhile. It was heavy!! And so the FedEx driver just dumped it in the grass beside our driveway. Once it was in the house I opened the box and carried the pieces down to the basement a few at a time. The directions were a little confusing. The plastic pieces look as if they should snap together but don’t. Finally I realized that the shelves would slid over them but I think there has to be a better way to do this. Anyway I finally got it together and was really surprised with how much it holds. I came upstairs and ordered two more. For the price I’m orettty pleased.

These are the best heavy duty shelving units, and are perfect for basement storage. I love the wheels because I can move them around to more easily get at the tubs and boxes that I store on them. We can even keep our Christmas tree in it's bag on the bottom shelf. The shelves are totally adjustable. I have had 5 of them for a couple of years, and decided that I needed two more. I was glad I could still get the same kind. They are fairly pricey, but I feel they are worth it. They'll last forever. I bought these last two online. They are delivered right to the door, so you don't have to worry about lugging them in and out of the car. They are very heavy.
