I have gotten where I hate to shop for clothing. It is mostly because of my own issues with my body image (I am in my early 50s and have been going through Menopause for years). As a result I look for more affordable clothing and I shop for comfort versus style. These shorts fit that pretty well. I chose the blue shorts because I was a little concerned if they would be see through. I have purchased linen clothing in the past that had that issue. These are on the thinner side, but they are not see through. They fit pretty well. I am 5’1” and weigh 165 lbs, and they are not too tight in the waist or legs. Being short I like the length of these, but honestly I rarely pull shorts or pants up to my actual waist line, because I carry my weight in my belly and shorts look weird when I do that. I chose the extra large and they fit well. I love the elastic waist with a shoe string tie as it gives me a little leeway when my weight fluctuates. The fabric is fairly soft and they were a little softer after washing them. I love the colors - are soft and will blend easily with plenty of summer top colors I have. The only reason I took one star away was because these tend to look a little wadded up after washing and drying them. They wrinkle easily and hold on to the wrinkles. The hem just becomes an uneven mess. I don’t sew but I was thinking of asking a friend if I could somehow clip away stitches to allow the shorts to not have a cuff -to just let them hang flat. It would add a pinch to the length too if I can do it. I know ironing them would probably take care of this problem, but I just don’t iron. I don’t know that even ironing these would make the cuff hold perfectly. I was given an iron as a gift over 20 years ago and I have used it a handful of times, and those times were usually for craft projects. But all in all, I am happy with this purchase. I am considering the orange ones, I am just not sure if this lighter color fabric will be so light you can see underwear through it. If they are atrocious I can send them back. One thing I like about purchasing from Sam’s is the ability to easily return clothing. I do not live near a Sam’s club-the closest one is a 2 hour drive away, and I have always appreciated Sam’s providing some of their products online. But I do have to say their selection is constantly changing and not as consistent as it used to be. Some products are more expensive online than in the store, and shipping may be charged on some items. We chose the business membership years ago to get free shipping because we only get the chance to go into a Sam's store a few times a year. However, this benefit of the business membership is not what it used to be. It is frustrating that businesses are doing less and less to care for their loyal customers. I don’t doubt there will come a time when it won’t be worth maintaining a Sam’s club membership.
