I purchased this shelf to get items off the garage floor. It has far exceeded my expectations. Took me (elderly lady) about 2 hours to assemble but that was because of the instructions. If you are assembling by yourself, add the shelves to the bottom portion before screwing on the top poles. This makes assembling so much easier plus it stabilizes the bottom, making inserting the top shelves easier. I wish whoever writes the instructions would actually assemble a few before publishing them.

Hmm, "something went wrong" when I just attempted to submit this review a min ago. So will try again. I have purchased 12 of these exact shelves over the last number of years. 1-3 at a time as needs arose. I have been 100% satisfied in the first 12. However 3 of the 3 I purchased this week were very poor quality. The tolerances in the leg assemblies were very loose. The finish is very thin, splotchy and ruff. They are still functional for my needs once assembled so not worth my time to exchange. Expecially since it was 3 of three. Pretty good odds I would end up in the same boat. I hope this is a fluke and just a bad batch.

I ordered this Member's Mark 6-Tier NSF Heavy-Duty Wire Shelving unit twice - and was sent the wrong one both times. The first time was in April, when they sent me a Seville shelving unit instead of the Member's Mark shelving unit that I ordered. I did not realize that it was the wrong one until after we've opened up the box. I tried to request a replacement, but the white color I needed was out of stock, so my only option was to return. To add insult to injury, I had to drive to Walmart to get a roll of packing tape to ship back something we didn't order in the first place. The second time was a few days ago (June), and they just dropped it off on my porch today. To my dismay, it is once again the shelving unit by Seville instead of Member's Mark. So now I will have to ask for my neighbor's help to bring it inside the house again until Sam's can send someone to pick up. The first time could have been a mistake, but twice in a row is indicating there's something wrong with the distribution center's inventory system. Sam's needs to improve their quality control or retrain their pickers, because this is unacceptable. Avoid ordering this item unless you want to: 1. Spend time and effort dragging a large and heavy box into your house for safe-keeping until Sam's can send someone to retrieve it. 2. Spend time and money on packing tape to repackage it, because the box will probably come damaged and needs repackaging even if you didn't open it. 3. Have a large, dirty brown box sitting by your front door for a week or two while waiting for pick up.

Ordered this on line. What was delivered to me had been returned and was essentially in an open box. Didn't even waste my time with it. Got a refund from the nearest club and bought one in an unopened box. The unit is good. I like the plastic shelf liners a lot so small things stand up straight. Sam's free shipping isn't much good when they send you something unusable and then you still have to drive to a club to get one!

The finished product is good, but the whole process was not the best. The only color they had in store was chrome, and we needed a white one. So we ordered it online for shipping. When it was delivered, the box was so beat up and taped on both ends. It was obviously a return that they sent us since some zip ties holding pieces together inside the battered box were already cut, a couple of the shelves were bent up, and three shelves had scratches where the paint had come off. Because it was so heavy and too much of a hassle to return, we made it work by putting the crooked, scratched shelves towards the back where they wouldn't be as evident. We only used 5 of the 6 shelves. Putting it together with two people took about an hour and the finished product is good and heavy duty.

Circumstances happened in our lives that created an urgency to organize our space. We bought two of these units for our garage. They were simple to assemble (easier with two people). The shelf liners were convenient in case there might be spillage or leaking of anything stored on them. (only one shelf would be affected rather than the others under them). We had no way to transport and the freight was reasonable to have them delivered. I believe the pricing was fair. Also, they are on locking casters which is great for moving to clean behind. We have 4 like units in our basement (without the shelf liners). It makes finding "stuff" much easier and convenient.

It was a gift

I ordered 2 that were pretty easy to assemble, Then I ordered 3 more and they were terrible. The first 2 took 40 minutes to put together with only 1 misalligned corner. The next 3 took 4 hours and had 8 corners that were miswelded and I had to just screw them to the posts. The packing material was beyond terrible and several of the shelves were bent up and had chipped paint. They look good but the build quality is terrible,
