I bought this shelf unit at my local club today after some research. It is not yet assembled, but I have unpacked and inspected every part and it is very well made. First, I looked at the pdf file and saw that it is made by Seville. Their products are not USA made but the design and engineering are first class, in my opinion. (I have both versions of their 72 inch rolling work benches and three of their 24 x 28 cabinets - all bought at Sam's) To answer some of the questions posted in the questions and answer section, the box, as picked up at the club, is marked 89.7 pounds and measures 48 inches x 18¾ inches x 9¾ inches. I'm also a member at the competing club in my city and they offer similar unit with similar specs. I looked at the competitor's offering first and their shelves had the zig-zag wire trusses on both sides of the shelves and three rods welded to the cross rods of the shelves to prevent separation. I went to Sam's and their unit's shelves had the same edge trusses plus a third truss in the center with rods welded to the cross wires between the center truss and the edges on each side. The purchase was an easy decision.

This shelving has many advantages. The spacing can be changed and it will support heavy items. It is clean. On casters it can be moved easily. One thing to watch is that the casters are molded and have a mold line on the wheels that can indent a floor if heavily loaded if the floor is a softer material. I sand this little ridge off when assembling the units. I now have nearly 20 of these.

These are the best heavy duty shelving units, and are perfect for basement storage. I love the wheels because I can move them around to more easily get at the tubs and boxes that I store on them. We can even keep our Christmas tree in it's bag on the bottom shelf. The shelves are totally adjustable. I have had 5 of them for a couple of years, and decided that I needed two more. I was glad I could still get the same kind. They are fairly pricey, but I feel they are worth it. They'll last forever. I bought these last two online. They are delivered right to the door, so you don't have to worry about lugging them in and out of the car. They are very heavy.

My husband and I purchased this and put it together a few days ago. Both of us are somewhat handy but for some reason we always take forever to put stuff together. This takes no handiness whatsoever and we had it together in 15 minutes! Now all of our bottled water, toilet paper, diapers, etc. are stored in our basement out of site. Great purchase. I will definitely buy another one if we need similar storage in the future.

I have had one of these shelving units for almost 10 years. I have it in the garage with the casters. I recently purchases two additional units for our basement storage room. They are very easy to assemble with only the assistance of an optional rubber hammer. The metal is very heavy and the unit is sturdy once assembled. The casters are good quality as well. I believe the reviews that find issues with the casters may be due to overloading the unit weight limitation. Be sure to note the difference in weight capacity with/without use of casters/wheels. I will be ordering more of these as I organize our storage room.

I have a small shop attached to my retirement home and space is very valuable to me. I bought 2 of these units last year (2009) and used them as both half size and rooling as well as fixed units. I am going up today to buy another. they are GREAT for sizing the distance between each shelf and for putting on top of a work bench. better then any shelf i have ever bought! and as good as any I have ever custom built !!!

This was my second purchase of this item...I have a small gift shop and I use it for storage in the "back room" - I can put it in front of other shelves and slide this one back and forth - store more in less space - rolls easily and I have it loaded!

I now own 5 of these shelving units that I use in my storage room as well as garage. They are extremely heavy and very sturdy. The wheels make them easy to move. They are easy to assemble - the adjustable height fits all your needs. Also the best value for shelves of this caliber.

I’ve ordered 3 of these shelving units, all were shipped. First order of 1 arrived within 3 days, second order of 2, took much longer (over a week) which was frustrating but overall worth the wait. I plan to order more of these, they hold a lot, they’re very sturdy, the option of wheels is ideal, they’re pretty easy to assemble & when assembling, the shelf heights can be tailored to your needs, Even though the boxes came damaged & a couple of small loose pcs were missing, there were enough parts & extras in a sealed bag to make up for the difference. I was worried the shelves were bent but they’re very heavy & sturdy so they were fine. The first one is a little tricky to put together & they really requires 2 people but once you figure out the configuration you want, they go together easily.

This was the first purchase after buying new home, so I could get organized. I measured my storage room and bought two units for every three units of space, and then hooked them all together. So instead of a bunch of independent rolling units, I had a wall of single rolling unit. This way I only had to buy two units for three units of space, got more storage room for taller items because the shelves for two units was split among three units and so on. So Some I turned into clothes hanging unit or big box units with lots of space, and then used those extra shelves to install between shelving units. You can't do this trick after building, you have to plan it out beforehand. But it's great when you get it to work. I'll take some photos if anyone is interested and post them. But I can move entire walls of shelving with just me, no one else, and all at once since they are hooked together. I bought a couple of units for my garage but they rusted. So I would NOT recommend for areas with high humidity and road splash from cars pulling in.
