This is a nice off mainline story game. For what it's worth, it does give you a lot to do. Plus note, even if you got the Switch 2 version, you can still play it on your Gen 1 switches even the O-led. They never made it to be a Switch 2 game. Just that you're buying the Switch 2 upgrade when you buy it.

A little lacking for graphics if you care about that, and could REALLY use voice acting, but it’s still a fun and fairly polished game. If you are buying this as a gift for someone who likes Pokémon they will definitely enjoy it. If you’re buying it for yourself definitely look at a couple more reviews. Also be careful when ordering it online, I’ve seen people get the switch 1 version when ordering the switch 2 version

The game runs smoothly and is visually pleasing. So far the town isn’t super crowded but there are plenty of people out and about to chat with (too much chatting but yea). The Pokemon animations look great.

My 14 year old grandson says it is great loves his switch 2 and his new games. He actually worked and earned his money to buy the switch 2 so Grandma and I purchased the him the game for his birthday.

So I got this and the new Switch 2 for my son for Christmas. He has told me that he does like it and it's worth it. I can only go by what he says as a teenager.

This game is inferior to Legends Arceus, and tries a new battle gimmick thats more of a hassle than an improvement. I wasn't a big fan of the Pokedex for this game and everything seems so claustrophobic. With a bland story on top, only get this if you absolutely need new Pokemon, and if not, wait until Winds and Waves.
