[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Pretty good in-ground use garden soil. After unpacking, you can see the black soil mixed with other good stuff. There are some mulch clips mixed in the soil but not much. I mainly used it for re-planting our hedges and the results turned out to be good. Pre the product label, there are fertilizers mixed in as well. We didn't add fertilizer ourselves just in case to burn the plants. So keep that in mind.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I grow a few vegetables in a small garden. I always use Miracle-Gro products to help them grow. I like that there is added nutrition to feed back into the soil since the plants deplete it. I use the All Purpose Garden Soil to mix in with the soil that is already there. I like that they recycle and reuse materials so it is more sustainable. This does mean that there is some mulch and other debris mixed in, but it is still mostly dirt and not really an issue. I recommend using gloves and a shovel or other container to scoop it out and spread it around. Before planting I will dump the whole bag where I need it and mix it in, but if I already have plants in the ground that need more dirt added, then I scoop and place exactly where it is needed most. When it is time to pick my vegetables, there is always plenty to go around.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a decent garden soil and when you realize it is made with organic, natural material it makes more sense why it is not just soil in the bag. This does retain water a bit more than other options, so if you adjust the watering schedule this works pretty well. My container plants are a bit fuller than in the past. I think this is a good enough garden soil if you understand the differences with it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Simple but solid soil! This bag of soil came in good packaging with a solid amount provided per bag. I used this soil for different applications throughout my lawn and garden. For plants, filling holes in the grass and potting purposes. It did what one would expect, was moist, spread nicely and am happy with the product.

This is NOT soil. I bought 4 bags and opened the first and smelled of bark mulch and had white mold found in mulch bags. The material is predominantly medium and finely ground wood and bark. Soil is made of 4 ingredients: clay, silt, sand, and organic matter. The latter at no more than 5%. I did a separation test in a quart jar and found only 10% to be inorganic components. This is a cheap, sub par material, NOT soil.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Great soil. I use this in my garden beds for my no teal garden. It is absolutely wonderful. I pop the plants in and they grow great. The soil stays moist, but it doesn’t overbear the plants. Easy to maintain. The bag was huge.

I can’t wait to see that patch will all grass on it and it started with a good base with Scott’s all purpose soil.

It works great for planting flowers, vegetables, and herbs. It has a blend of premium organic materials with nutrients designed to promote root development. The soil is lightweight and well aerated. You can tell it drains well while retaining moisture. I really like that the soil doesn't have weeds or other contaminants in it. It has a slow release fertilizer which is great to feed my plants over time. I can tell the plants grown in this soil are more green and robust. Definitely a great choice for a beginner to a pro gardener.

And I think this product is great because I put it around my flower and vegetable plants and it seemed to help keep my plants healthy and it helped them grow really good. Also this soil is easy to handle and it is overall really great soil for your garden.
