[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The topsoil we had delivered from a local greenhouse this Spring ended up being horrible ... dry, lumpy, and full of rocks. The soil didn't hold moisture, was as hard as concrete when dry, and no seeds we planted would sprout in it. The photo I submitted shows the contrast between the old soil, and the Miracle-Gro Garden Soil. I hadn't been successful whatsoever growing vegetables by seed this year up till now ... the photo shows lettuce seeds starting to sprout up after only a week (in the center of the garden I planted the lettuce seeds using the Miracle-Gro soil, the lighter color soil on each side is the old soil).

However; I will bring this up here that this is not to be used soley for a pot of plants or fully its to be used to mix into your regular soil because it does contain fertilizer which if you use to much can burn your plants rather than help them grow. This by far is a winner though when it comes to planting soil.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This Scott’s miracle grow garden soil is bar far my favorite! I got this huge bag at just the right time when I am redoing my front flower garden. I used this soil and I can already see sprouting. I’ve used other soil that was dry and just wasn’t right. This soil is moist and actually works for all your planting needs! I highly recommend!

I followed the instructions on the bag and replanted some small plants along with new flowers. All are thriving and have caught up with adjacent beds. I'm sure some of the success is due to loosening the soil, but I credit the accelerated growth to the product.
