[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really didn't expect to like this so much, since it's a stud finder. Buy my new buddy does more. It has a handy leveler. Vertical and width. Finds wood and metal studs. It has a ruler in inches, and centermeters on both sides. Even works in manufactured homes. Made in the USA. I highly recommend.
Easy to use!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Pros: magnetic, easy to use, works well, level, measurements, hands free, made in USA Cons: none The StudBuddy Plus is really nice! This stud finder is very easy to use and it works really well. The instructions for this stud finder are very simple and easy to understand. This stud finder works based on the magnetic field created by the nails/screws in the studs. So, there aren’t any batteries to deal with. You simply glide the stud finder against the wall within a 24-inch radius and feel for a magnetic field. Once you find a stud the StudBuddy will stick to the wall where the stud is, and that it. The StudBudy has small felt pads on the bottom, so it easily slides against the wall without scratching it. It works really well on drywall walls. Some places the stud finder sticks easier than others. The stud finder also has a handy level on it to make hanging things easier. It also has measurements on both sides. I really like how effortless it is to use. All in all, this stud finder is really great. This stud finder is very easy to use, it works well, and it has a built-in level. I would absolutely recommend it!
It will work
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The StudBuddy Plus Magnetic Stud Finder Is a really good magnetic stud finder. I have another brand that senses the stud behind the Sheetrock however it has a lot of trouble sensing the stud if you hit a bump or your finger slips off the button. The Stud Buddy doesn’t have that problem, you just slowly rub it across the wall and the magnet hunts for something the attach to. In most homes when it does the magnet is strong enough to hold and stay in place. However you that depends on the depth of the screw or nail and how much putty and or paint is over it so you will have to kind of test it out. Now you most likely won’t have a nail or screw right where you need it so you can use the level on the stud buddy or mark two places with tape and then use a straight edge to get a straight line up to where you want to put a screw to hang a picture or what ever your hanging. The stud buddy also has a small ruler with inch on one side and cm on the other side along with two bubble levels. If you need something not too expensive this in a very good magnetic stud finder. As you can see in the pictures it hangs on the wall just find.
Definitely a good buy
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was skeptical about this item, but it completely blew me away. It’s so easy to use. I had been dreading hanging up a heavy wall hanging until I got this. The fact that it has a level makes it extremely user-friendly. I HIGHLY recommend this simple item, and I love that it's small and fits in a drawer, out of the way, when not in use.
Neat
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I just love this tool I got it today and tried it On hanging a mirror you just swipe the tool Over the dry wall and it detects a metal stud It stops and sticks so cool it has a vertical and Horizontal level
Easy to use
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is super easy to use and finds studs very fast. You just put it against the wall and slide it will stop to a the stud. I highly recommend this product!!! My 5 year old daughter helped find studs so if she can do can you lol.
Nice concept, poor performance.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] At first glance, The Stud Buddy Plus looks like a handy tool to have in your tool box. I like that it features a ruler, a level and requires no batteries. Its also a nice size, fits comfortably in your hand, making it easy to move over the walls. Another plus is the powerful magnet. However, as far as finding studs, I tried it on several walls throughout my home and it came up short. It found the metal corners easily but as far as the studs, I wasn't sure if I was hitting a nail/ screw. I found it easier to use my hand to knock on the walls to find the stud. Also, the levels on the one I received were not calibrated. The idea behind the Stud Buddy Plus sounds good but in the end it did not fully deliver results
Useful tool for finding wall studs
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The StudBuddy is a very handy tool for locating studs. When the drywall is attached to metal studs the StudBuddy works really good. I was able to slide the StudBuddy across my walls where I have metal studs and the StudBuddy located the stud with ease. However when I used the StudBuddy on my drywall attached to wood studs it was not anywhere as easy to locate the wooden studs. The StudBuddy uses magnets for locating studs which is why I easily found my metal studs. When I used the StudBuddy to locate my wooden studs I had to move the StudBuddy in a back and forth and up and down motion on the wall looking for the drywall nails or screws that attached the drywall to the studs. Looking for my wooden studs took much more time than looking for my metal studs. When I eventually located a drywall nail or screw I could then move the StudBuddy vertically up and down to easily find the other drywall nails or screws in that stud. Once I found the first stud I the measured over 16”, the standard stud spacing distance, and used the StudBuddy in that area and more easily the next stud. The StudBuddy has a 6” scale on one side and a 150mm scale on the other side for quick measuring. It also has vertical and horizontal bubble levels which makes it useful for hanging a picture or a shelf. However I found the horizontal bubble level useless as the bubble was as big as the window it was located in, the bubble did not fit in between the two lines where the bubble should fit when it is level. I also noticed that the StudBuddy’s vertical level was not perfectly accurate and it was slightly off when I compared it to my other levels. Overall the StudBuddy is easy to use and would be very useful stud finding tool especially when used to locate metal studs. And it would also be useful for hanging items on a wall.
Stuck on the wall
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The StudBuddy Plus Magnetic Stud Finder is great for finding studs through drywall. It will stay attached to the wall where there are metal fasteners and let's you use it hands free to hang shelves, pictures, cabinetry and much more. Stays on the wall with fairly strong magnets if your drywall isn't too thick.
StudBuddy Plus
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The StudBuddy Plus can be very helpful providing you have walls constructed in your home or business in a manner where it will work for you. It really seems to work very well provided that the drywall is installed with conventional drywall nails or screws but if it were installed with wire brads such as are often used in manufactured or mobile homes, it becomes more difficult to use. The brads are so small that even with the strong magnet in the tool it can not stick to the wall. You can however find the brads as there is some resistance felt when you cross over them with the tool. If the wall is constructed with metal studs, the tool will stick to the wall at the metal stud without even needing to find a screw. It comes with both a vertical and a horzontal level along with a 6" measure on one side and a 152 mm measure on the other. It also has two felt pads, one on each end, on the rear side that slides over the wall to help protect the wall from scratches. As stated before the tool has a strong magnet inside that finds the nails, screws, and even the metal studs but it also seems to find any other metal tool it gets close to. The best part about this tool is that NO BATTERIES are ever required and there is nothing to wear out. I will say I was skeptical about how well such a simple tool would work but after using it I am impressed.
