My adult son is a quality snob. He really loves his LuLu pants and shorts. As they aren't exactly affordable, I bought him a pair of these. The fabric and styling seemed comparable to me. Well, he loved them, and asked me to get him two more. When he asked how much he owes me, he was completely shocked by the price, as he thought I bought them from Gap, where they would probably be about $40 each.

These Gap shorts are nothing like the Gap Ripstop even though they are technically made of the same fabric. They also do not fit the same. A large in the Ripstop was perfect and a large in these are smaller across the hips and an XL is too big....they simple don't fit well.

The shorts seem nice enough, unfortunately, I misread the size chart because the top number was for chest(?) size rather than typical waist measurement. Who does that? Now I have to take them back. Grrrrr.

The shorts are wonderful. They are very comfortable. I use them for my workouts at Planet Fitness. They are an excellent value. I would have given them 5 stars but there is a problem that everyone reading this review should take caution when buying any clothing from Sam's. The cardboard tags adhered to the Gap Fit shorts stated the size was MEDIUM. After removing the tags and after washing the shorts, I discovered that printed on the shorts themselves, it shows SMALL as the size. So, the size on the tags does not match the size printed on the shorts. Luckily the small size fits me but only because they are made of stretchy material. I purchased five pairs of these shorts and everyone had the same problem with the cardboard tag stated size and the size printed on the shorts. In the future, I will check all clothes and make sure that the size printed on the clothing is what I intend to buy. I would have given the shorts a full five star rating but because of this issue, I shot it down to a four star rating.

If you're looking for the gait shorted from last year these are NOT them. Tighter fitting, less stretchy, no zipper pocket. And a see through mesh strip across your rear so everyone can see whatever is underneath.

Very comfortable, especially when sitting. A this price you can't go wrong. I'll get a few more pairs in different colors. Shorts that are actually short.

These shorts are wonderful. Well made and lightweight materials make them excellent for hiking, exercising, or just out and about town. Decent length and the fit is true to size.

My teen loves these shorts with the zipper pocket but you stopped carrying khaki and we need khaki for his work. Please bring back the khaki color!
