Shorts are cool, simple and plain for a young boy to play around in. Because it’s not summer yet I don’t know how comfortable they would be outdoors but they seem to be well made and like they will hold up to a busy young man.

My son loves these Rec Trek shorts by outdoor voices. The material is a thick active abrasion resistant but comfortable and breathable for your active child. The quality in material is better than most name brand active wear.

The shorts are waterproof, so it’s suitable for all sports including water sports. It’s super soft and has some thickness, so it’s not sheer. Has drawstring to tie for my boy on the slim side. Overall very comfortable and clean look.

These shorts were a miss for us. I'm not sure why they are so highly rated, but we live in FL so that could be the disconnect. We need soft LIGHT fabrics - this is a very heavy almost hard material. It doesn't match the cloud tee for kids. We're returning. These also run a little different size wise, whereas my son is a true 6/7 and the M shirt was good, these shorts would have been better in a S but we're returning.

Seems nicely made but they are a sort of parachute material that is stiff and makes a crinkly sound when you move. These are not a tech short/running short material. My son did not like how they felt - returning.
