This receptacle does not deserve the monicker “trash can” I dare say it's too good for our family.

This is the trash can of the future.

We only had this trash can for a day when the "automatic" top stopped working!!!  Then all of a sudden it started working again!  Then it stopped again.  It's haunted. We will be returning this soon, and just getting a trashcan to step on to open it.  Bummed it's not reliable.

The automatic garbage can works amazingly, just swipe your hand over the sensor, and it opens. Our daughters would always slam the foot pedal on our old can, marking up the walls when the lid would hit them.   No worries anymore with this new can.   You don’t need special bags for this can like our last one, so that makes it a lot cheaper.   It has a nice look to it also.
