Pampers Swaddlers has consistently been the one we reach for when we know we know we need extra protection (i.e. a blowout is coming). I have not tried Pampers Swaddlers Ultra before, but it could be new. I cannot tell it’s there is a difference from the “regular” Swaddlers or if they are just changing the packaging. They look and feel like the regular Swaddlers. I did not notice an “ultra” feature to the regular. All that to say I really do love Swaddlers. They have the best blow out protection because there is lining and pockets on all sides (including front and back) so there is coverage at all angles. They are soft yet very absorbent. They hold a lot of urine. We have never had any rash breakouts. There is a wetness indicator line on front and back. I wish they would use cleaner ingredients to make those diapers as I know these aren’t the healthiest option on the market, but they do really work and are worth the price. This is a huge box of diapers which I appreciate since I do not have to run to the store constantly to get more. We will be set for awhile.

The material is soft and gentle, not stiff and not noisy, which was especially important to me at night. The diaper is breathable, and the baby’s skin stays dry — we haven’t noticed any irritation. Absorbency is excellent as well: it easily lasts through the entire night without leaks, even when very full. During the day, when the baby is active, it stays in place and doesn’t shift or bunch up. It also controls odors well. They’re not the cheapest option, but considering the quality and the peace of mind they provide, I think they’re worth the price. For us, this is one of the most reliable choices.
