We love our sauna! It took about 8 hours for two people to assemble. It fits perfectly under our deck. Two drawbacks- the heater kicks and turns off when it heats up too fast, we have to set it in the 150s then turn it up if we want it higher. It is a safety feature I guess but it is frustrating. The second drawback is that there are a couple of places that are drafty, which could be fixed with some caulk so it really isn't that big of a deal or we would've already fixed it. Overall we are very happy with this sauna. Knowing what we know now, we still would've bought it!

It was relatively easy to put together. About 9 hours. another 3 hours to wire. I like that the product came with a building apt put together and specialize drill attachment to make the job easier. The only criticism is outside control were difficult to use. No detailed instructions; however, the phone apt controls were easy to use. No need to use the outside controls. I have not tried to calibrate the inside thermometer and the humidity meter. to busy using the sauna. All in all a good buy for the price.

Not the most clear instructions and quality is just okay. For example the side pieces you need to install to create the front and back portions are not perfect fits which makes the rest of the assembly a bit difficult. Also not a great explanation on how to use spacers when cinching down the outside boards. Few boards came chipped and cracked as well. So you get what you pay for.

Unparalleled value for money. I am writing this review after my sensor went out, I called backyard discovery and they had everything referenced from my order and shipped it to arrive this week so I could keep my sauna going, free under warranty! They even registered it for me and didn't hassle me about failing to do that step. I cant believe in this day and age there are still both great values and unbelievable service. You get more than you pay for with this sauna! It does have a hard time getting to the ultra hot temps, but it's plenty warm. I use for heat training / heat acclimation post run for plasma volume increase amongst the litany of literature that points to heat exposure being beneficial with heat shock protein generation and general longevity and health. it took a total of two people 8 hours to build with the right tools and a motivation to sweat.

I am happy to leave a review for the Paxton Barrel Sauna. It was better than expected. In terms of operation it heats up fast and provides a great experience (used 3 times so far). But beyond that was the setup. The instructions and packaging could not have been better. I spread out the boxes and plucked from each as I went along and kept referring to packing lists to find the components. Not what they suggest but it worked for me. I highly recommend this product and the company. One call to Backyard Discovery and I received 20 screws that I seemed to have misplaced. I am going to order a greenhouse next!!

My husband and I are so happy with our Backyard 2-4 person sauna. It was a great project to work on together. We are in it every night and so enjoy our sauna time.

This was fairly easy to put together with 2 people. Customer service has been good so far, the control panel is fairly cheap. They did send a new one that's an updated part when we called on issues with the WiFi. We unfortunately cannot get this hooked up to WiFi and something is wrong with the temperature sensor as the sauna goes to max heat 220, then triggers the safety and we cannot get sauna to turn on without flipping another button on the back. For these reasons we are not that happy with the product.

We have debated between a hottub and sauna for a couple years and when we walked into Sam's and saw this on display for such an excellent price, we came home, did a lot of research and went back the next day to purchase. I have been going through cancer treatments and have developed some neuropathy, and this sauna now provides nightly relief before going to bed. At first , the six cartons seemed a little overwhelming, but we are both very mechanical and have tackled similar projects in the past. Help is needed for unloading as it takes three people to handle some of the cartons. The instructions are very well written and detailed but it does take some time to sort through the parts. One step (standing and stabilizing the end panels) does require 3 people minimum to complete this step. Overall we had 1-3 people work on assembly over a 3-4 day period that totaled about 48 man hours. Once completely assembled, it took our electrician about 3 hours to extend our circuit about 20 feet and complete the hookup. We sealed the outside of the sauna with two coats of boiled linseed oil that deepened the richness of the cedar grain and completed the beauty of the sauna since ours sits in a wooded area and is well camouflaged. We have been enjoying our sauna nearly everyday and after an initial issue with operating the controls with wifi, we have had only one problem with an overheating issue which we do need to follow up with the manufacturer. Highly recommend this purchase if you have the mechanical/ carpentry experience for assembly.

I bought on New years eve and had it installed immediately. I love the size. If I was able to get the app to connect to my sauna I would give this 5 Stars. My husband and I use it multiple times a week the only thing is not being able to use the app. Delivery was excellent and the BYD team has contacted me throughout my journey honestly one of my best gifts to myself.

This product does not work. The touch screen to control it is complete dysfunctional. I ordered a replacement touch screen and that doesn’t work. The WiFi connectivity does not work and there is no way to pair it with Bluetooth. There is no way to turn this sauna on or off or control it. The structure is decent, but water and snow get through the cracks. It was incredibly difficult and time consuming to assemble. It is clear they did no quality assurance or any testing whatsoever before they released this to market. Save yourself a lot of trouble and get another product. After speaking to their customer service, it is clear that my issue is not a one off issue. They have a long list of other clients with these same issues.
