[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We recently got this potty for our 2.5 year old and it is perfect! We had another potty and my little one wanted nothing to do with it. Our hope was that since this potty incorporated one of his favorite characters that he would be more inclined to try it. Well it worked! He was so excited when he saw the Elmo potty! The potty includes a pretend-flush handle with fun sounds and Elmo’s voice which definitely intrigued him! It has been a few weeks and my little one is now doing great with the potty process! The potty chair is the perfect size; it takes up minimal space in our bathroom. It is lightweight so it can be easily carried from one bathroom to the next or taken with you if you are visiting family/friends. There are handles on the side of the potty that he can hold onto that help him feel secure on the seat. The seat is soft and padded. The waste cup removes easily for cleanup. This 3 in 1 potty is also great as it grows with my little one. Once he is finished with the potty chair, the seat from the chair can be removed and placed on a regular toilet. You can also close the lid to the potty chair and it becomes a step stool which my little one loves. After using the potty he closes the lid and stands on the stool to wash his hands. There are so many great things about this potty! If you have little ones that are starting the potty training process, I definitely recommend this Elmo potty by Kolcraft. It is a must have!

I love the fake flush, the colors, how sturdy it is. It feels really well made. I also love that it can be used as a step stool. Very easy to take apart and clean. This is just for girls though, it is not usable for a boy at all. The hole is too small like others have mentioned. As soon as my son sat on it I could see there was no where for him to go pee he covered the entire opening by sitting. The top is also very heavy and he slams it down very hard.

My boy girl twins were so excited to get this Elmo potty. The noises were very encouraging and got them excited to try it. It is also a great value because you can transition from the little potty, to using the potty seat and the potty as the step stool, so less products to buy and clutter the bathroom! Easy to use and clean. I always have my boy lean forward a little when sitting to help avoid splashing but this does have a splash guard as well. I did received this product for free in exchange for my review but do honestly believe it is a great product! - Did the potty get your child excited about training? - Did your child like using the step stool? - If youve used other potties in the past, how does the Sesame potty compare?

My son loves this potty but I hate it. No matter how far back he sits on it he still has to hold himself down when he pees or it gets all over the floor and his pants. The pee guard is useless. I gave it 2 stars because of the grip on the part that catches the pee and poo and the noises the flasher makes.

My son absolutely loves this potty. It is the perfect size and height for him. We love the interactive flushing sounds. It is very well made and sturdy. I like that you can remove the seat to put on the toilet when the child has progressed to that stage.

Great product. My daughter took to it very easily, and loved the Elmo, and t he Flushing sound and movement. It was very easy to out and keep sanitary with the bowl. She could even empty its contents into the big potty and then clean the bowl, and call upon one of us to sanitze it to keep it clean. We received this product as a trial for her, and were asked in return for her trying it, to leave our honest reviews for everyone else. It is a big win for us, and for her, and getting us our of that constant purchase and changing of the pull-ups!!

it's cute but the younger children like to close it and it slams down on fingers. it should have some kind of latch to hold top up. My grandson is just learning how to use it, but has slammed it down on his hand and fingers. Not happy with this. Could be a pretty easy fix.

This potty chair is overall one of the best I have owned training 3 children. My 20 month old loves the design and the sounds it makes. I like the bright colors - teal with a white seat and yellow lid. It makes a great stool, being fairly tall and very stable. The seat is wider, and has handles for little ones to hold if they feel unstable. My only negative in my review is that the lid is heavy, due to the sound and batteries being in the lid I assume. This is great when being used as a stool since it makes it more stable while being stood on. It is not so great when it closes down on your toddler's back while they are sitting on the potty. I ended up pushing it to let the lid lean back against a wall when it is open, but that design flaw is a problem. Since multiple color lids are shown in the photos, I wanted to mention ours had a teal body and a yellow lid. I like the bright colors, but not the fact that the yellow lid gets dirty easily. It’s small, lightweight so it’s easy to store in anywhere without taking up too much space. There is a pretend flush handle that you can press and it makes the flushing sound so it’s helps my son get used to the sound of a flushing toilet. Once he’s used to the potty , I can detach the top piece and set it on the toilet. He can also use the potty as a stepping stool. Also you can press the flush handle to hear hear Elmo giggle.
