The rear towel bar, or extra support bar when laying back. This bar is very stiff when new. DO NOT pull with one hand, you take the chance of bending or breaking the bar. grab both sides of the towel bar and pull up fast and firmly. It may not budge the first time, (I was afraid of breaking the plastic hinge). this might take 3-4 times. But it worked. Now the chairs themselves. We purchased two chairs with the matching umbrella. We couldn't be happier. The build quality, the pouches, cooler on the back, the mutiple recliner positions and most importantly the comfortability of the chairs. If you're comparing these to others. these are great! Very comparable to other more expensive name brands.

Absolutely LOVE this chair!! My husband and I were heading to Florida and needed 2 good beach chairs and a matching umbrella. This set did NOT disappoint!! Love the cooler bag on the back with the extra zipper bag for non-cold items. Love the 2 cup/item holders on the side for my drink and phone/sunglasses. STURDY design %26 fabric and easy to recline. VERY comfortable and love the back stand/towel holder on the back. Don't forget the comfy pillow!!! VERY IMPRESSED with this version! (Saw several on the beach with their EXPENISIVE Tommy Bahama versions and we just laughed ;) We saved sooo much money on these %26 they were AWESOME!!) Totally worth the try! Don't skip the umbrella! It's very sturdy and holds up well in the wind! Great design all around with the screw bottom and handles to turn it!! Has vented flaps and a tilt option for when the sun moves. Also a nice, comfy carrying case. Very pleased overall with our entire haul! Great job, Sam's!!

I wanted to like these chairs, but unfortunately they were terrible. Upon opening, I tried it on as a backpack and the lower bar digs into your back terribly. Uncomfortable, and definitely not ideal, but not a deal breaker. Then, I opened one up to sit and test it out, and the bar digs into your lower back while sitting in it, too! I can't imagine sitting on the beach in one of those chairs for an extended period of time. While I was on my way to return them, a big piece of sharp metal poked out at the top near the handle while I was walking across the parking lot. Overall really disappointed in the quality, which is surprising for Sam's Club.

These chairs are low-priced, sturdy, look nice, and have great added features more expensive chairs don't. They're slightly taller than some, but it's still a short beach chair. The catch is in the towel rack/upper support. The instructions say to lift by it, but it doesn't budge. Don't force it: instead, loosen the nuts about 1 turn and it will move in a notchy manner. I wondered why most customer pics don't show the bar extended. Problem solved.

This chair is super comfortable. It’s easy to fold up and unfold. Seems pretty durable. Can’t really use it yet since it’s the middle of winter. Cute and convenient storage area. It’s low to the ground so easily accessible for kids

I really like this chair. It seems very sturdy and I think it will last a long time. The color is great as well. I haven't used it at the beach, but it's great poolside! It is a little low for someone with bad knees, but as long as you can get up and down without a problem, it's great.
