We ended up utilizing this mat as a bed for our dog and she absolutely loves it! It is holding up well and easy to keep clean.

It is an ok bath rug- nothing special

Overall, I've been satisfied with this mat. I've bought several of them over the last few years. Up until these last two, they've been great quality. But the last two I bought, after being washed (cold water as per instructions and previous experience), were covered in pills of the backing. I air drued both and figured I would vacuum it off. It's not a normal thing for these, but I figured it would be an easy fix. Several days and siaks and brushings and vacuums and scrapings later, the crumbs of backing are still embedded in the plush. I know the first question would be if I did something wrong. Fair enough. But I verified that the tag said cold water and liw temp dryer, but I did not put it in the dryer. And, I've never had one do this before. I can't retutn it, but will try to buy another and hooe it doesn't have the same issue
