What a much needed work horse!!!
Really like the scanner, works great for all my needs. Very fast doing 2 sided letter and legal pages. Card reader workers on most cards some lamimated cards are to thick to go through but not the end of the world. My only complaint is the locking mechanism is sticky so opening it can be a bit tricky. But over all very happy i found it. Excellent scanner. I think I left a good review on another device by mistake. I meant this one. Very practical. It is however, hard to connect to a network. Not very intuitive. But afterwards, it works great. I use it mainly to scan documents and save them in google-drive folder. It can handle all sorts of document shapes, except long documents. If you try to scan a long document, it will stop and give an error that there is a jam. Other than that, no problem. The speed of scanning is great. The software isn't that sophisticated but it does the trick. You can scan several pages at once and then rearrange them into a single pdf file. Sometimes, when I need to scan a long file, I use my cellphone, snap a photo, and send it to my computer. But in general, I was able to dispose of a lot paper. The only complaint is that I had to crank up the use of my shredder. 1. Very quick scanning, it shoots through a stack of single-sided papers at 300DPI very fast and accurately. It was faster than my works Brother Workforce all-in-one 2. Built-in OCR PDF export, the built-in OCR scanning software is amazingly fast and accurate (only on desktop). 3. Very accurate automated rotation, adjusting, hole punch removal, and deskew, among other good settings. * The scanner was amazing at rotating and deskewing all scans automatically and only had issues 3 times where the paper was too dark or hand written. It correctly flipped picture, papers, business cards, ID cards and everything else I scanned. 4. The card slot, I love the quick card slot idea and when it worked, it was a nice touch (more on it below). * Card slot would be more useful if it was accessible while the cover was closed. 5. The settings, this scanner has so many settings on a PC it's amazing and they work pretty beautifully and quick. * Magazine/Newspaper mode & image stitching were not tested. 6. It's tiny, this thing really is portable (see pics) 7. Battery life is great. * Charged it and tested it out 2 weeks and I scanned several items during the testing; it still has power and still in my work bag. 8. Great image quality, it goes up to 1200DPI and looks great. 9. Small files created at higher DPI, even with 600DPI it created small image file sizes and PDFs. 10. Effortless double-sided scanning. * There are 2 scanning plates inside, making double-sided scanning just one step instead of 2 like other portable scanners I've tried. As the saying goes, "looks can be deceiving," and this was surely the case of the Epson Workforce ES-300W Document Scanner. Upon first glance, I was thought the unit was too small and not powerful enough to scan the plethora of business documents I seem to accrue day in and day out. After five days of use, I found the unit to be responsive, fast, and most of all, useful. It has a whisper sound and the document feeding was exacting. Unboxing was easy - compartmentalized with the cable, USB cord and instructions readily available. The manual was straightforward and had a detailed setup process. The unit was standalone and there was no need to attach or detach any items - it was truly convertible. The front latch allowed for the unit to be opened easily and for the feeding mechanism to be unfurled. The URL to download the software/drivers was clear. Initially, I had trouble with the Wi-Fi connection, but after using the USB cable, I was able to circumvent this snafu. The Epson Capture Pro software had a user-friendly interface that made it very simple to navigate when scanning and naming documents with selected file formats. The instructions also clearly stated to place documents with the printed side facing down. I had scanned numerous items in the past few days, including a 33-page report in one sitting. The Epson Workforce ES-300W scanned through it with effortless ease and in less than 75 seconds! The text was crisp, bold, and there was a nice border surrounding each page. The unit is portable – which is a nice touch especially since I am frequently on the go. Most importantly, this scanner affords me the flexibility to upload documents in the cloud for easy reference and organization. The Epson portable printer is simply outstanding! As a mobile Notary, it has become an essential tool for me. I can easily scan IDs and documents that my customers require, all while being on the move. The ability to print on the go has been a game-changer for my business. This purchase has proven to be the best investment I've made to enhance my efficiency and professionalism. Compact size and big performance
This is a review for the Epson WorkForce ES-380W Wireless document scanner that I received free of charge to do a beta test and review. This is a compact document scanner that takes up very little space. It fits easily on a desktop or workspace. The initial setup is quick and you will have it up and running in no time at all. The scanner connects to wifi so that the ES-380W can be conveniently placed. Operation of the scanner is very intuitive. The Epson ScanSmart app is easy to work with and allows for image adjustment so your scans come out perfectly. You have the ability to save your scans to computer, email or to several different cloud services such as DropBox, One Drive or Google Drive. The scans are completed and uploaded in a very fast manner. The document feed can be adjusted for various sizes of originals such as receipts, legal size, etc. I use this scanner on a daily basis for saving important paperwork to the cloud for safe keeping. The ES-380W is perfect for preserving your important documents. The build quality and small footprint along with exceptional performance make the ES-380W the right choice for a home office environment.
Wonderful little portable scanner that does a lot!
The Epson WorkForce ES-C380W has been a game-changer for our medical office. This sleek, modern scanner makes organizing patient records and paperwork so much easier, and we love how intuitive it is to use. It handles everything we throw at it, with features like 2-sided scanning and wireless connectivity keeping our tasks running smoothly. Plus, it’s so compact and lightweight that it saves us a ton of desk space, which is a big deal in our busy office. One of our favorite things about the ES-C380W is the standalone scanning. We can scan directly to a USB drive, mobile device, or the cloud using its bright touchscreen, without needing to fire up a computer. The auto document feeder is perfect for batch scanning, and the intelligent image adjustments like automatic cropping and paper skew correction is great, especially when we don't load the images properly or if the source image is slightly skewed. The Epson software is super handy —we can preview, email, and upload scans to our preferred cloud services like Dropbox and Google Drive easily. Whether we’re scanning standard documents, patient ID cards, or even medical forms, this scanner has been able to handle everything easily. It’s fast, versatile, and has really helped us keep our workspace tidy and our workflow efficient. We couldn’t be happier with it in our medical office.
Excellent Home Office or Small Business Scanner
This is a review for the Epson WorkForce ES-380W Wireless Document scanner that I received free of charge to do a beta test and review. I have been using the Epson ES-C380W desktop scanner for the past few weeks and have to say that there is so much to love about this scanner. I have been thoroughly surprised at all the features packed into this small device. Unboxing and set up of the scanner is extremely simple. I was able to set up the scanner, connect it to my Wi-Fi network, and scan my first few documents within ten minutes. One of the things I’m most impressed about the device it doesn’t require attachment to a computer to scan. Once it is setup with your network, you can scan to Cloud, USB drive, directly to email, or even set it up to send scanned output to an FTP site. Cloud scanning options are numerous including Dropbox, OneDrive, Google Drive, Box and Evernote. Configuration of these various cloud options is simple and straightforward through the Epson Connect web site and for me they all worked seamlessly. Setting up scan direct to email was a little finicky, but after creating an an App Password for my Google account, it was good to go. Of course, if you do want to scan directly to your computer, that is an option as well, both wired and wireless. Personally, I’m not a fan of all the software, drivers and utilities that Epson requires to be installed for most of its products. However, I did install the supporting drivers and software for the ES-C380W, and they all worked without issue. As for actual scanning options, there is a lot to say. Probably first and foremost is the fact that this scanner scans two-sided documents in a single pass. Impressive. Secondly, with a scan speed of up to 30 pages per minute, it is extremely fast. However, one limiting factor is that the document feeder capacity is only twenty sheets of paper. I had no issues scanning multiple documents of various shapes and sizes including letter, legal, half sheet, receipts and even photos. There are two options for scan paths – vertical and straight path. With the vertical path you can scan plain paper, business cards, and receipts. With the straight path you can scan longer paper, plastic cards, passports, and envelopes. When scanning you can select from jpeg or PDF (single or multi page) and choose from an array of many other options including resolution, text enhancement, background and shadow removal, and the like. All in all, this is an impressive device. It has a nice, small form factor, but doesn’t skimp on options. If you’re looking for a scanning solution that offers network connectivity out of the box, doesn’t require tethering to a computer, and provides 2-sided, speedy scanning for a variety of documents, then I would recommend the Epson ES-C380W as a great option for you.
Excellent compact scanner, very fast
This is a review for the Epson WorkForce ES-380W Wireless Document scanner that I received free of charge to do a beta test and review. Excellent scanner, i replaced my bunch of Documates with this one, and it's a day and night difference in terms of performance and interface. It's exceptionally fast for compact document scanner, does color duplex scan, and one of the features i liked is its ability to scan thicker documents. Very easy to set up, works flawlessly on WiFi (can be connected via USB as well). It has LCD touchscreen, so can be controlled either from the app or without computer. Also can be controlled from mobile device (no need for PC), so this unit can be called portable as well.
Fast and Easy to use Scanner
I was gifted the Epson WorkForce ES-380W Wireless Document Scanner for free in exchange as a beta tester to review. When it arrived, I set it up really fast so that was automatically a benefit. It easily connects to Wifi. Over the past few weeks I've tried out the scanner for work when working from home. I find its actually much faster than the usual one I use. The way it works is pretty convenient. You can start it up and scan to a USB drive, or a network folder. You can also scan and email it to yourself. I have various online cloud saving accounts such as Google Drive I use for work, Dropbox I have from my college days, Microsoft OneDrive and even iCloud. You can make an account on through Epson connect and sync scanned docs to your choice of online drive if you want to do it that way. When trying it out to see how easy it is to scan from my computer, I installed the software and necessary drivers. Once that was done it worked as one would expect and had no problems. One of the things I had issues with on old scanners was when I had to scan a 2 sided document. This was no problem with the WorkForce ES-C380W. You don't have to interact to flip the document to scan the other side as it just does it on the initial scan. You can choose the orientation to be horizontal or vertical. Once you do that, it can easily take larger and smaller sized standard documents like legal, tabloid, receipt, It will take 20 sheets at a time when loading, and lives up to the promise of up to 30 pages per minute. I didn't actually count the sheets but was able to get through some huge stacks that I needed to scan, pretty quickly. For such a small scanner, I was pretty impressed. I also tried scanning color photos in smaller sizes, as well as my driver's license and passport to try and it handled it quickly, no problem. The quality of the scan was excellent, with little noise. You can change the settings of the output to for example pdf for documents and then single scan or multiple pages. I tried jpeg and other options for pictures, and tweaked various other options. I liked that I could change the resolution if I want it to take up less space or if I want higher quality. It allows you to enhance the scan to better pick up and recognize text which was super helpful because I use OCR text recognition on my scans through a different software related to my work. It also cleans up by removing flecks on the scan, can change the contrast, brightness, remove background, etc. Right out of the box this was a handy small space scanner that connects and sets up quickly, then delivers any scan you need to whatever storage with quality, options and speed. I would recommend this scanner.
Verified Purchase

Good but overpriced
It’s fine but very overpriced for the functionality. All scanners should come with these features standard, not having to pay extra for basic stuff.
Do not buy this
I would never recommend this scanner to anyone. I bought it thinking it was user friendly but it is not unless you are tech savvy. It look a long time to connect when it finally did it didn't separate the pages correctly and I had to manually go back and rescan them. I was hoping this scanner would be portable and I would able to easily connect it on travel but that is not the case. Beware - this is not a good product.
