New Mixer

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received my mixer as a gift. It is one I had been looking at to buy. So far I like my mixer. I wish it came with a smaller bowl as well as the 5 quart. It does a good job however you do have to scrape the bottom of the bowl as that doesn't seem to mix along with the rest of the dough.

Wanted to love it, but...

I'm on my second Kitchen Aid Artisan mixer and I have to say I'm extremely disappointed... The first one I had, the motor actually burnt - there was smoke coming out of it! Super scary. I do bake a lot, and I love making breads, so it is an appliance I use often. But since they call it the 'kitchen work horse', I never expected it to burn down on me. I bit the bullet and bought another one, because I love the way it looks and it is a good machine if you only use it once in a blue moon. Needless to say, that I now have my second one, and the motor started smoking again this past weekend while I was making bread. I guess this machine is only good for the person who bakes once in a while, or doesn't do much baking. If you're making breads and really using your machine, do not buy this appliance, or you may run the risk of it going on fire.

Spring and washer

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I would like to see you putting the spring and washer on the attachment shaft again. Without it the attachments are very sloppy and since they are aluminum in my opinion all the wobble and movement are going to eventually make the hole much bigger. Otherwise it is a great appliance.

Great product! Great Value!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Great product. I absolutely love the shredder attachment. Shreads cheese in minutes. Mixer is fantastic. Wish I bought sooner. The only negative is the splatter shield. The gap between the mixer and the edge of the shield is a bit too large and let's flour fly out while mixing.

Amazing Christmas Gift!!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a much needed mixer for any beginner baker. It was a gift for Christmas this year and my 2 year old loves watching as we make cakes and cookies. Wish Kitchenaid made an exact miniature version for her. She especially loves the color. This beats the heck out of a hand mixer any day with the efficiency of time!! You know my little one wants a cake and cookies now....we need to get the ingredients into the oven ASAP and this really helps me to achieve my little ones timing demands. LOL!

Pluses and Minuses

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My old Mix Master finally needed replacing, so I bought a KitchenAid. There are several things I like & dislike about it. I love the metal bowl with the handle for ease of handling. I love how easy it is to attach the beater. I love that there are several attachments you can add to perform several jobs with 1 appliance. However, it is VERY heavy & cumbersome. And with the deep bowl and moving beater I have difficulty adding ingredients without stopping the machine. There simply isn't enough room. I've mixed cookie and bread dough and it seems to do a decent job, though I did have to stop it in order to scrape down the sides.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Son bought me a mixer for Christmas with Processing attachment and I seem to use it every other day cooking or baking something. Wife says my Creations are Wonderful and my grad kids love the cookies I make.

Perfect mixer

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I recieved a Kitchen aid mixer in 1987 for a wedding present. I put alot if miles on it and when I lost it in 2020 in a wild fire it had been running like it was new. You don't have to get other mixers when you have a Kitchen aid. I had all the attachments to.

Versatile!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve had my mixer for 6 months now, and have used it nearly weekly for different projects. As much as I want to be able to give the mixer 5 stars, I can’t. A 5 rating equates to perfection, but it hasn’t been perfect for me. Each time I use it I have stop in the middle of mixing to scrap the sides and bottom of the bowl. I understand that a scrapper beater is available, but for the cost of the machine, I feel it should have been included as a standard attachment. In addition, I’ve had some difficulty attaching the shredder attachment. However, once attached it worked great, I just wish the feeder spout was a bit larger. I just purchased the meat grinder attachment and am looking forward to using it, I just hope that I don’t have as much difficulty attaching it as I did attaching the shredder.

A Whole Family Gift

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this as a Christmas gift. Needless to say, it was opened very early. We have already created Christmas cookies, twice baked potatoes, and pasta with the pasta maker (purchased separately) Haven't used the slicer/shredder yet but if it works as well as the pasta maker, it will be great. Only thing I would change is the weight. It is fairly heavy when moving it from place to place.
