A fun, solid Mario Kart set

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a solid set that my kids enjoy playing with. It is well put together, and when the car is launched, it is great to watch it fly around the track. They especially like it when Bullet Bill swings around and knocks the car off the track. The only downside is if you don't hit the launcher just right, the car flies off the track. Aside from that, they love attaching it to other Hot Wheel's sets to make a bigger racetrack.

Long lasting fun!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Fun! Easy to put together and it folds so it doesn't take up that much space even though it's pretty big. My 2 and 5 year old are still playing with this weeks later. It only comes with one Mario cart car but it works with most hot wheels cars which is great since we have a bunch. You can also use the set to store cars!

Hot Wheels Mario Kart Bowser Track Set – Fun,

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] What we liked: • The Mario Kart theme is spot-on. Bowser, the obstacles, and the track design really feel like the video game, which makes play more immersive. • Once it’s set up, the racing and launching action is fast and exciting. My child enjoyed experimenting with different launch speeds and racing different characters. • The cars are sturdy and work well with other Hot Wheels Mario Kart tracks and vehicles, which adds replay value. Things to know: • Setup takes a little patience. An adult will likely need to help the first time, and younger kids may need help re-aligning pieces if the track shifts. • Cars can occasionally fly off the track if launched too hard, which can be frustrating at first — but kids quickly figure out the right balance. • It’s best played on a solid surface with enough space. Overall: This is a great set for an 8-year-old who enjoys building, problem-solving, and action play. It’s not a “set it and forget it” toy, but once assembled, it delivers lots of fun and feels true to the Mario Kart experience. A solid choice from Mattel for fans of both brands. Recommended for: Ages 7–10, Mario Kart fans, and kids who enjoy interactive track play.

Blazing Review

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'm obsessed with this track set! 🤩 My 7-year-old daughter loves Mario Kart, and this is the ultimate addition to her collection. The Bowser's Castle track is so much fun to play with, and the 1:64 scale die-cast Kamek toy vehicle is adorable! 😍 The track is sturdy, and the storage is genius – easy to set up and store. The Kamek vehicle fits perfectly on the track, and the details are amazing. We've had hours of playtime, and it's sparked some awesome imaginative play. Highly recommend for any Mario Kart fan! 🚗🔥 *Pros:* - Sturdy track - Adorable Kamek vehicle - Awesome storage - Encourages imaginative play *Cons:* - Might be pricey for some - Small parts (watch little siblings!)

Perfect for all Mario Brothers fans

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My kids are huge Mario fan so they were extremely excited when this arrived. It was very easy to assemble. It includes an adaptor to connect other tracks to it. My kids thought that was cool. All the little details like the fire you can raise and the big bullet makes you feel like you are in the game. There is tons of storage or places to display there collection of cars. They were able to use most of there Hot Wheels on the track. They loved it! It keeper them busy for hours. They only issue thy had was they weren't strong enough to launch the car themselves. It worked perfectly if I hit the launchers. That didn't stop them from enjoying th set.

A fantastic hot wheels set for a Mario Kart fan!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] What a hot wheels set! It is perfect for the Hot Wheels Mario Kart fan! It's huge! It is very organized in the box and the set is really well put together! Love the speed snap technology which makes it so much easier to put together. Pieces are clearly marked too! My only negative would be is that I wish it came with two cars instead of one!

Awful launcher designs

This track set looks great out of the box and has a lot of visual appeal, but unfortunately the functionality completely falls apart in actual use. The launcher is extremely weak and poorly designed so much so that it barely works even when an adult applies full strength. Cars consistently fail to make it through the loop or even gain enough speed to stay on the track, making the core play feature unusable. We tried multiple cars, different angles, and repeated adjustments, but nothing improved the performance. For a product clearly marketed toward kids, it’s frustrating that it requires adult force just to attempt a launch and even then it still fails. This leads to constant disappointment and makes playtime more frustrating than fun.

Wow Factor!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My son was excited as soon as he saw the box. I took a picture of all the parts before building to see how much time it would take. Please note this needs quite a bit of assembly but worth it. Helps build teamwork, following directions, hardwork, determination, and memories. Kids these days easily give up and this teaches completion if they want the toy to work. There are no sound effects, or visual effects. Just good old fashioned building and play. It took us about 30/45 mins to add stickers and build/assemble. It looks amazing and he loves it! I recommend for teaching and for fun. Great quality, sturdy, and colorful.

Extremely Impressed and Much Better Than Expected

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This set is a home run in every way. Unlike some play sets that either overwhelm or wear out their welcome, this one strikes the perfect balance—there’s always something to do, and it keeps kids consistently engaged without feeling chaotic. Here’s how the play unfolds: the car starts inside the castle, then gravity carries it down a ramp to a gate that has to be opened by hand. Next, it enters an elevator that also requires manual control, before rolling into the launcher. A good launch sends the car through a loop and into a section where a giant “bullet” can knock it off course. (There’s a lever beside the bullet—if the car hits it, the bullet crashes into the car.) If it makes it past that obstacle, it reaches the flag area and strikes a counter. Each hit makes the flag retract a bit; to “pass the castle,” the counter needs to be hit three times. What impressed me most is how well engineered and imaginative the entire set is. The design is genuinely creative, the pieces feel sturdy and well made, and everything fits together in a satisfying, high-quality way. There are also thoughtful extras: built-in storage for additional cars inside the castle, and the ability to connect to other play sets. From a parent’s perspective, assembly was refreshingly easy and clearly well considered—this feels like a product designed with real care. And for a set this large, the fold-up feature is a huge bonus: the hinges let it collapse neatly when not in use, taking up far less space. It was a massive hit for a five-year-old in our house, and I’d highly recommend it.
