We got this dryer with the LG friends and family sample program and we are beyond impressed with it. It is beyond efficient and uses smart energy/technology. It can hold very late capacity loads. First of all, I love the design, color and mostly its size. With 7.4cu ft capacity it can fit a big blanket and other bulky items. The dryer is quiet and offers plenty of drying options from quick dry to heavy load. I love the new features like AI Dry which selects optimal dry setting automatically and Steamfresh mode which removes wrinkles in 11 minutes using steam and hot air. It is also ENERGY STAR certified which will be significantly more energy-efficient.

I really like the stream option. Not sure why an appliance at this price point doesn't come with the required hose for that function or why it ships with a cheap plastic Y joint but the machine is nice.

Purchased this dryer a few weeks ag and I am sending it back. There are several things I don't care for about the machine. First, I don't like the cycle selection design. You have to turn a dial to find the cycle you want on the electronic screen. Second, I don't like the lint screen. It is hot to touch in between cycles, even though it tells you to clean the screen in between cycles and I find it more difficult to remove the lint than my old machine. Most important, it does not dry consistently. No matter what cycle I use, the clothing items/sheets, towels are completely damp when the cycle goes off or their are damp in spots and dry in others. No matter, I still have to turn on another cycle before they are completely dry. I do not overload the drum and I select the appropriate cycle for the items I am drying.

Purchased the dryer in June 2026. On first use, the dryer would shut off and say that drying is complete after 8 - 10 minutes for most cycles. The clothes were wet. The only cycle that allows for a load of clothes to dry is the Bedding cycle, and this takes close to 2 hours for the load to dry.
