Very Happy Writer

This Flip laptop is so versatile! I love being able to do some of my art on a tablet type surface and then open it up and use it as a PC. I'm 70 and I've been using HP for a long time and I am very pleased with the sleek look and ease of access to my Omnibook. I flip open the cover and I get logged in with my Windows Hello right away. Writing is a breeze and moving chunks of text is easier with the powerful 32gb processor. I look forward to much happy work on my HP Omnibook X Flip laptop. Thank you for building a great computer.

An almost perfect 2-in-1 laptop choice

I really love the 2-in-1 design. The performance is good enough, considering it being a 2-in-1. It heats up when opening a medium-end to high-end game but not when binge watching, which is good enough, I think. I am an engineering major and my Solidworks and AutoCAD works okay. When doing high-end projects, I switch to univ computers but the simple 3D projects work well enough with this laptop. Tbh, I haven't experienced any crashes yet:) The touch screen and tablet+pen form is also very useful in school. I got to enjoy reviewing for my finals with this! So ig sacrificing engineering-level performance for this is worth it.

Outstanding Laptop

I've been using this laptop for 2 months and it has been an amazing purchase. Love it! The 3K OLED display looks amazing, the Wi-Fi 7 speed is top-notch. The only thing is that the RAM can't be upgraded and the motherboard doesn't support NVMe Gen 5.

HP OmniBook X Flip 16 AI PC

Purchased my HP OmniBook X Flip 16 AI PC about two weeks ago and i'm very impressed on it's performance. The speed of the device is fast and start-up time is also good, which only takes about 10-15 to start-up or reboot. The main reason i like this laptop, is the 3K screen. The colors are really vivid and the blacks are true for an amazing experience while viewing images and video's. Definitely highly recommend this laptop for speed, durability and visuals.

Just What I Needed

I replaced my 16 GB HP Spectre x360 2-in-1 15.6" 4K Ultra HD Touch-Screen Laptop which I bought in 2018 with this. Although the Spectre was still usable after a month short of eight years, it was not as snappy as I would have liked (since I am somewhat lazy and keep a lot of browser windows open on multiple desktops). With 32 GB, this thing roars and the 2880 x 1800 screen resolution still gives me plenty of real estate (the Spectre had 3840 x 2560 (UHD) resolution - that spoiled me and the lack of comfortably-priced 3840 x 2560 screen resolution in newer laptops made me reluctant to replace it).

Love the concept, not without its quirks

Love having the flexibility to use this as a tablet (I use that mode to display music for live performances) or as a regular laptop. However, it sometimes gets "stuck" in one mode or another requiring a reboot. Also, have had intermittent issues with the built in wifi interface disappearing, with built in diagnostics saying it's not installed. Usually end up rebooting several times and resetting bios to defaults before it shows back up and starts working again.

Great utility laptop for everyday tasks, but...

The HP OmniBook X Flip 16 is a decent laptop for everyday computing. It features a touchscreen and a pen input for increased interactivity, making this a good choice for people who are not that technologically proficient. However, this laptop can only go so far because it lacks a dedicated GPU, an Micro SD card reader slot, an Ethernet port, control via voice input, and internal storage expansion slots. Onboard memory and a heavy chassis weight also limit its overall appeal, especially when using the laptop in convertible tablet mode (it's extremely heavy and bulky). In conclusion, the OmniBook X Flip is a great choice for general computing but for performance computing look elsewhere.

Less “Omni,” More “Meh”

I honestly can't decide whether my disappointment is due to unrealistic expectations or whether this laptop is simply underwhelming—but I'm leaning toward the latter. Faster startup was one of the promised improvements over my previous HP device. Unfortunately, my actual user experience determined that was a lie. The first time I tried to start the laptop after completing the initial setup and updates, it became a black mirror attached to a keyboard-shaped fidget toy, with only a tiny light in the corner to indicate that it had not completely abandoned this earthly plane. I had to force a restart—on its very first regular startup. I hoped that was a fluke, but in less than two months, I've had to force-restart it at least three more times. The speakers also have an odd effect when you aren't positioned directly in front of or behind the device. It feels like an attempt at surround sound that only works if you sit perfectly still in precisely the right spot. The display looks good, and the sound itself is fine when everything aligns correctly. My biggest issue, however, is performance. This laptop simply doesn't feel like a meaningful improvement over my older device, despite speed being one of its major selling points. I may still be adjusting to the keyboard and some of the functional differences, but overall, it feels like a step backward from my previous HP Envy. Even relatively small omissions—such as the lack of a backlit keyboard—are disappointing at this price point. Battery life appears to be good, but I find myself reluctant to use the laptop for anything beyond work because the overall experience just feels…off. It's difficult to capture in a single technical complaint, but I would not recommend that users who are familiar with and enjoy the HP Envy line switch to this device. It looks nice and performs adequately when it cooperates, but “adequate, when it cooperates” is not what I thought I was purchasing.

A disappointment

There are a lot of glitches. The product overheats very easily. The screen flickers on and off continuously. I don't know if you guys can do some software updates, but it would be nice if you did.

Omnibook X never know what I'm getting

This Laptop has not been a smooth transition for me. The battery doesn't hold a charge. The FN key came on a couple times and I had to figure that out. I get bumped off WiFi for no reason. And I could not get back on---a window pops up BIOS update! I should not have to do an update on a brand-new Laptop!
