I have my device in my garage which typically has weak WiFi but the camera still works great. The microphone is decent, better than most.

The clarity, even when zoomed in, is sharp, and the night vision is clear enough to easily make out details in a completely dark room. The wide field of view covers my entire living space, which is exactly what I needed. ​My favorite feature is the familiar faces recognition (with the optional subscription). It quickly learned who lives here and now only alerts me when it sees a stranger, which drastically cuts down on unnecessary notifications. ​If I had one minor nitpick, it's that the power cord could be a little longer for more flexible placement options. ​Overall: A great experience right out of the box. You have to use the Google Home app for notifications and alerts. The biggest downside is a monthly or yearly fee to keep the recordings past a few hours and to use advanced features. Just another cost in an already packed expense-filled life.

Also, I love that you can set it to only turn on when it senses that nobody is home, and also only send notifications when it senses movement during a time that nobody is home. So far it seems to be pretty accurate at sending those things. I also appreciate that it comes with hardware to mount it to the wall or ceiling. I intend to just leave it on the kitchen counter because from there it can see the whole living/kitchen/dining area of our home, but it's nice that it is versatile. The setup/installation didn't work correctly the first time and I'm not sure why, but I deleted the device and started over and the second time it worked great and was super easy. Overall, feeling good about the added security.

It was heavy and seems to be made very well. The cord that comes with it to plug it in is about 10 ft long and is skinny enough to be able to be hidden behind furniture. However, if you do want to mount this camera you will need to find a way to hide the wire so it doesn't show. The camera can be mounted to the wall or you can just sit it on a piece of furniture. The camera was very easy to set up. You just plug it in and open the Google home app and set it up from there on your phone. This camera does include audio and video. The camera quality is very good. You can see everything even in lower light and you can speak to people over the camera as well and hear their responses. The camera does provide notifications of movement and can even tell you if it is a person or just movement. I really like this camera and I will get a lot of use out of it inside my home. However, my only complaint is that to use all of its functionality you need to pay for a subscription service through Google.

This item came to packaged very well, probably the best packaging of an electronic I've ever received. This came with everything you needed to mount this in your house, which is perfect. Overall this is a great product and easy to install
