The tripod and remote gave you the luxury of being included in the moment and not stuck holding onto it. It was a refreshing flashback to yesteryear with the convenience of today.

Really clear videos and so much easier to operate that my old camcorder and much lighter too. This has really been fun to play with. We are taking it on an upcoming trip and are looking forward to getting some good videos of Grandma and Grandpa!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It’s been years since I’ve used a camcorder but tried one again as I’ve needed to take videos of the kids sports and didn’t want to use all of my phone memory. The camcorder is lightweight, easy to use and comes with everything needed. The video is high quality. I didn’t give it five stars as I wish the menu on the device was a bit more intuitive.

Not really 8k. It's more like a 1080p camera that saves images at 8k. Very grainy even in the best of lighting. Makes annoying beeping noises that you can't disable. Interface is flaky and inconsistent. I bought TWO of these at the exact same time and they're actually different interfaces, so product quality is pretty low as well. If you just need a simple DVR camera, then this is for you. It is NOT an 8k camera, though.

The lighting isn’t very good, especially in low-light situations, and the image quality doesn’t really look like true 8K. That said, the video isn’t bad either it’s still usable for casual recording. Overall, it’s a good camcorder for the price, especially if you’re just looking for something basic, but don’t expect the best quality.

This is in no way an 8k video recorder. The video is grainy no matter the settings and if you zoom in on something like a sign or an envelope, the words are not clear but blurry. I can’t say that I would recommend this. Spend the money on an external storage drive and save your phone videos on it. You will be much happier.

Very disappointing experience at Sam's Club in Katy, TX (Fry Road area). I came to purchase a video camera that the website showed as being in stock, with 17 units available. However, after arriving at the store, I was told that the item could not be found and that it was possible the cameras had been stolen. As a paying member, this raises serious concerns. When highly discounted items repeatedly show as available online but cannot be located in the store, it creates the impression that members are not being given a fair opportunity to purchase these products. It makes customers wonder whether employees or others may be obtaining these items before members have a chance to buy them. I requested to speak with the store manager, but the manager never came to speak with me directly. Instead, Maria, who identified herself as one of the store managers and has worked here for eight years, handled the situation. Unfortunately, she was only able to provide excuses while the staff continued searching for the item. I waited in the store for more than an hour. Eventually, Maria informed me that they still could not find the camera but would continue looking and contact me later. At approximately 12:30 PM, she said they would notify me in a couple of hours. I asked if she could call me around 2:30 PM, since that would be two hours later, but she smiled and said she would call me at the end of the afternoon instead. When I pointed out that she had originally said they would contact me within a couple of hours, she simply repeated that they would call later. At that point, I was expected to leave the store and wait for a call, with no assurance that the product would ever be found. This experience has been frustrating, disappointing, and a poor example of customer service. Sam's Club and Walmart should do a better job ensuring inventory accuracy and communicating honestly with their members.
