Soft on the outside and not so on the inside It's polyester. I didn't try them on the bed after feeling them.

Yes, they are soft. But the feel like microfiber polyester (not cotton) and are extremely hot to sleep in. Saving for winter only.

It is always a trade off. If you get too soft, the sheet tear easily and become tattered from the wash. These are a perfect middle ground. Nice and soft but feel like they will stand up.

I am really really picky about sheets. I have autoimmune diseases and am in pain a lot. So the things I can control for my comfort I do. These sheets are so soft. My husband says God forbid if she's uncomfortable lol. I have washed them and they stayed very nice. As for how long that lasts I don't know. But at $20 I'm in. I just ordered another set.
