Rich, smooth and satisfying medium-dark roast!

As soon as you open the bag, you are treated with a rich and satisfying aroma of coffee. The experience only improves upon grinding and brewing. The flavor is very smooth and, for a medium-dark roast, surprisingly non-acidic - would please even those who prefer medium or light-medium roasts. Adding to the delicious experience of this coffee is the peace of mind one gets when knowing the beans are sourced using fair trade practices. Highly recommended!

Good Coffee: Whole Beans

I had to go buy a coffee grinder since this is a whole bean product and not ground. The taste was smooth and it wasn't bitter. Now that I own a coffee grinder, I plan on purchasing this coffee again. My husband and I really enjoyed it brewed with our percolator while camping.

Great for morning pick me up

When you open the bag, the heavenly aroma fills the air! The beans grind well, with a medium strength that’s neither too strong nor too light, making it an ideal choice for a refreshing morning start. The coffee beans arrived promptly and were packaged securely, ensuring they remained unharmed. I shared the beans with a friend, who also expressed their delight in the exceptional flavor. I highly recommend this coffee!

Fresh aroma and high quality beans

One impressive thing about this 40 ounce bag of 100% Arabica Colombian whole bean coffee is that it is Fair Trade Certified. This means the beans are bought directly from small growers in coffee growing countries. There were no partial or broken beans in the bag. The bag was vacuum sealed, which kept the freshness and wonderful aroma intact. I ground 4 ounces of beans each morning to go into my French press. The coffee flavor produced had a delightfully earthy taste with no aftertaste. This is an excellent choice for those who want to grind there own beans for a coffeehouse taste at home.

Smooth & Subtle

Smooth and balanced with mild acidity typical of Colombian beans, I get a slightly nutty, chocolatey taste with a clean finish.    It’s Medium-dark roast gives a richer body without tasting overly burnt or bitter like some darker roasts.    I also find that grinding it myself makes a noticeable difference in aroma and flavor, and what a nice big bag (2+ lbs) great for daily drinkers.

I LOVE COFFEE

Everything was great until I tasted the brewed coffee. I don’t know if its the way I had to make it or if it’s actually just on the weaker side. I like espresso. I like the burnt , bitter taste. So compared to that, this is very bland. It’s not dark or bitter so if you just like regular brewed coffee, then this is perfect! It smells AMAZING!!! It’s grinded beautifully and the aroma filled my house.

Good Colombian beans, makes a nice cup of coffee

I am comparing this to the other commercial available Colombian holding coffees that I purchased. For example from the supermarket to include both the supermarket brand as well as more well-known brands like lavasa. The coffee looks well roasted and has a very nice Aroma when you first open the bag. I grind my own beans and I use one tablespoon of coffee per cup of water. I like to grind my beans fine as I often will make expresso with them as well. The Taste is overall very pleasing with a nice whiny overtone with minimal bitterness. Definitely a solid cup of coffee. Would recommend

Great Coffee

This was my first foray into grinding my own coffee beans. From first opening of the bag to the aroma of freshly ground beans this coffee this coffee got my attention real quick. Once brewed it was much better than the already ground top brands I had been using, stronger coffee flavor that was not bitter since I drink mine black. I purchase a lot of Members Mark products and find them comparable to name brands at a more modest cost. This coffee will be my new standard for home.

Calling All Coffee Drinkers!!!

ember’s Mark Medium Dark Roast Whole Bean Coffee (Colombian) is a solid choice for anyone who enjoys a balanced cup of coffee. The taste is very smooth with just the right level of richness, making it great for both morning and afternoon coffee! The smell is absolutely amazing, the scent t fills the room as soon as it’s brewed. It also has subtle notes of chocolate and a mild nuttiness that add depth without being overpowering. Overall, it’s a dependable, flavorful coffee that offers great quality for the price.

Good Coffee (but took some adjusting to)

Having drank a lot of flavored coffees recently it was a bit abrupt to switch to a plain medium dark roast coffee. That being said after a few cups it really grew on me. This really is a slightly dark medium roast, no where near as dark as your average cup from the big green chain. The flavor was good and the more you drink the more you enjoy that more medium type roast. A few pots later and it continues to grow on me. If you are adjusted to darker or flavored coffees definately give this a few tries before passing judgement.
