I've found that normally they cause a lot of irritation and razor burn for me. I was intrigued with the addition of the exfoliating bar so wanted to give this a try. What a difference. The razor came complete with 1 razor handle, 1 stand, and 2 cartridges. The 2D FlexDisc pivoting head allows the blades to swivel from side to side to contour the face for a nice clean shave. The cartridge has five blades and each blade is mounted on springs to help them move up and down there is an additional single blade at the rear to tackle those awkward areas such as underneath the nose and corners of the mouth. Above the blades is a lubricating strip and beneath the blades is a tiny ridged micro comb which lifts and guides the hairs into pole position for a clean cut. Overall this razor provided a clean comfortable shave.
