But as someone with sensitive skin, it just didn’t work for me. I had to go over the same spot multiple times to get the tiny hairs, and the blade isn’t as sharp as I expected. It also feels unnecessarily heavy. Not a bad razor overall, but it’s just not the right fit for sensitive skin.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a nice razor - what you can expect from Gillette razors. It does a great job shaving and cleaning up my face. This razor breezes through the challenging areas, like the neck, with minimal issues. The trimming blade on the flip side is a nice feature to touch up areas. Surprisingly, there is still some tug, despite the razor having 5 blades. Even after showering, I find that the razor still tries to pull some of the hair out vs cutting it nicely. My biggest complaint is that the release button (the big circle) is right where my finger tends to rest, which basically means anytime I apply pressure to the razor during the shave, the blade releases. A slight annoyance and in my opinion, a slight design flaw. I do not notice the exfoliating bar much - generally speaking - I use shaving cream which provides a pretty good buffer between the blades my face - the exfoliating bar serves little purpose. Overall, a nice razor - but nothing special.

The handle is very substantial and weighted so it doesn’t feel like a cheap razor and feels more the like the straightedge type. I've used many different types/brands of razors, and I believe I have found the perfect one for me. No matter what razor I tend to use, I end up with nicks and razor burn. My skin is extremely sensitive and it's hard to find a razor that doesn't irritate or cause me facial woes. Having used this particular razor for quite some time I have found a couple things of interest. First, the blades are wonderful. They cut right through facial hair without the usual "pulling" feeling. They last even longer than my usual brand as well. The exfoliating works wonders leaving my face soft, smooth and burn free. Secondly, the handle is comfortable to hold and easy to use. It has heft to it and feels solid so it can withstand a few drops by an "oopsie." The movable head works well and holds the angle needed perfectly. I love the design and color. Very modern and simple. Lastly, there's an included stand. I don't really need this (maybe you will), but it's a nice addition and actually holds the razor upright and ready to use. It could've used a spot for extra blades as well, but it's not a huge miss on their end. All in all, this is a solid razor with blades that cut great and left me feeling smooth and irritation free. Well done Gillette!

I have been shaving for the past ... years with razors my wife bought for me (they came in packs of 72). It was a ho-hum experience with some residual stubble and razor burn. My Gillette labs razor was exceptional and enjoyable. It was such a game changing experience that I bought 2 additional razors as gifts. The exfoliating bar, 5 blades and flexible head set a standard that my family all agree are genius. Love, love, love the great product from Gillette Labs.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've been using disposable razors for a while now so this thing has been a massive upgrade. This shave is so much smoother, and gets closer to the skin. The ability it has to rotate a bit is also a nice touch. It comes with a nice stand as well.

Leaves skin feeling great and no red bumps or irritation. Also looks stylish and nice with it's metal base and silver look. I won't buy another type.

The metal handle has rubber grips so that it will not slip, and the five blades are great. It offers a close, smooth shave and the swivel head helps to shave around the jaw and chin.
