I have tried using Gillette razors over the years and no matter what I used I got irritation or bumps on my neck. I had to switch to electric foil shavers because of that. I gave this a shot and it did not disappoint. Whatever that little exfoliating bar is, it works! Once its hit with warm water it just glides like melted butter on my skin. No irritation, no bumps, I am a happy guy!

The blade itself is par for the course, however; not bad, but it's really no better than other Gillette heads. The exfoliating bar does not make a noticeable difference in my experience. Unfortunate, then, that this base will not fit other Gillette blades, as you're locked in to a higher replacement cost.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This razor has left my legs and armpit feeling extremely smooth, usually i only get this smooth finish if i first exfoliate and use loads of shaving cream and re exfoliate again , this time around i used the exfoliating bar razor for men skipped my whole process just body soap to shower quick shave and honestly am impressed what this razor can do leaving my legs and armpit feeling like i did my usual routine this time around thou no cuts just feeling extremely smooth Im a women who prefers men razors and this has one my attention and as well how i could just have it on the magnetic holding in my bathroom perfect

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a nice razor - what you can expect from Gillette razors. It does a great job shaving and cleaning up my face. This razor breezes through the challenging areas, like the neck, with minimal issues. The trimming blade on the flip side is a nice feature to touch up areas. Surprisingly, there is still some tug, despite the razor having 5 blades. Even after showering, I find that the razor still tries to pull some of the hair out vs cutting it nicely. My biggest complaint is that the release button (the big circle) is right where my finger tends to rest, which basically means anytime I apply pressure to the razor during the shave, the blade releases. A slight annoyance and in my opinion, a slight design flaw. I do not notice the exfoliating bar much - generally speaking - I use shaving cream which provides a pretty good buffer between the blades my face - the exfoliating bar serves little purpose. Overall, a nice razor - but nothing special.

Loving the Gillette Labs razor. This product gives me a close shave every time I use it. Just make sure you use a quality shaving cream too. I have one problem, The only problem is when the handle gets wet it becomes slippery. If it had a textured grip that would be great. Other than that great product.

This is a stylish one the stand makes it perfect to be kept straight and look good on your shelf. I love the concept of exfoliating in this and the shave is definetlty super smooth. Love this product.

You can definitely tell that the blades are supported evenly across the head of the razor making for a confident shave and no snags. It is lighter weight then expected and the addition of the weighted base is nice. I didn't find the flex head super necessary for the way I shave but it can certainly be a helpful feature for others.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After using it for three days, this razor has a lot of good going for it. It looks good cradled in the magnetic base. The weight feels good. The handle not only looks good, but it feels good when shaving as well. I like the flexdisc that allows the cartridge to rotate side to side. The shave is a good, clean shave with no tugging or errant nicks. With all of that being said, the razor is good. But in looking at how different everything is with this razor, I feel like this razor should be great and, for me, it really isn't. It's not bad. I just didn't notice an exponentially better shave with this razor than my regular razor that I use which is unfortunate because with as classy as this razor looks and feels, I really wanted to love this more than I do. I wouldn't not recommend it as it is definitely a classy looking razor that gets the job done. But if someone only cares about function, this may not be the only Gillette product worth looking at.
