The base is very space-saving and sleek to hold the unit. A top-notch product from the brand I know well.

Design & Build Quality: Right out of the box, the razor looks and feels premium. The metal handle has a nice weight to it, giving it a solid, well-balanced feel in the hand. The magnetic stand is a great touch—it keeps the razor upright, clean, and ready for the next use. Performance: The built-in exfoliating bar is what sets this razor apart. It gently removes dirt and dead skin before the blades pass over, which seems to make the shave smoother and reduce irritation. I noticed fewer ingrown hairs and less redness after shaving, even on sensitive areas like the neck. Blades: The blades are incredibly sharp and last for several uses without dulling quickly. The cartridge design allows for precise control around tight spots like under the nose and along the jawline. Comfort: The shave is not only close but noticeably more comfortable than standard razors. The exfoliating bar adds a layer of pre-treatment that I didn’t know I needed until I tried it. I've happily used Gillette products for decades starting with Blue Blades. Lately I have been quite happy iwht the newer item s. HOWEVER, when I bought refills they now longer fit on my handle. lTurns out the company introduced a new product with a lightly changed handle design, so their new bardes will not fit on the older handle. I can think o now reason for them to do this; unless they hope we'll buy the wrong blades and then have to go back and buy the rights ons--they make an extra sale.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Gillette makes a great razor. This one doesn’t necessarily cut any better than the classic Mach 5, but the flexibility is a nice touch and the base is really nice to have on something sharp. All in all a solid plus up to a classic razor.

The integrated shave gel works well and isn’t as gooey as is found with some other brands. Much like other multi-plate cartridges, they tend to clog quickly and require rinsing frequently when shaving. The metal handle is solid and comfortable to hold, although a little on the larger side. The magnetic stand is nice and sleek. The prices of refills are a little expensice but it is a premium product.

The articulation is great and the blades are terrific as always. The grip is really nice and the stand is great so I'm not constantly looking around for it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've waffled between safety razor wet shaving, and cartridge razor shaving for many years. I love the closeness of shave safety razors provide, but I've never been a fan of the inconvenience of safety razor wet shaving. As a result, I often go back to traditional cartridge razors. However, cartridge razors often irritate my skin. The struggle is real! Out of all the cartridge razors I've used over the years, only Gillette razors tend to play nice with my skin. After using just about every multiblade razor Gillette sells, I think I've finally found my forever cartridge razor, and it's this one. Here's why: 1. This razor is incredibly sharp out of the box. 2. The handle is perfectly shaped and weighted. 3. The swivel of the blade works great. 4. The exfoliating bar absolutely does work; at least for me it does. 5. A cartridge lasts me at least 6 shaves; that's 2 shaves more than any other Gillette razor I've used. Bottom line: In my opinion, this is the best cartridge razor Gillette offers, and GIllette already sells the best cartridge razors on the market. Highly recommended 5 stars
