I didn’t really notice a difference between a regular razor and the exfoliating razor. The magnetic base is more like a stand that’s barely magnetic. Overall it gives you a decent shave. It is great quality and have a very sensitive skin and found other razors to feel like they burn on my skin. This one feels great! I like to get a close shave which this does it perfectly! It is heavy but it doesn't adhere to anything so it is possible to move and knock off a ledge. The shave itself is smooth with no irritation. The handle feel good in the hand and like it's high quality.
