[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received one box of banana nut flavor protein oats and one box of maple brown sugar protein oats in my Influenster box and I was excited to give it a try. I don't usually eat instant oatmeal but I heard good things about this Quaker instant oatmeal with added protein. The oatmeal were bigger flakes so there was definitely an improvement in texture. This banana nut flavor had more flavor and texture than the maple brown sugar one so I definitely recommend. I think it would be perfect if they can reduce the amount of sugar in it. There's almost 20 grams of sugar in one serving and that's definitely too much sugar to have for breakfast.

The added protein completely changed the texture and the taste. It was overly sweet, but had like a chalky texture. I would rather have less protein and better flavor. I was not able to finish my bowl.

The flavor is great, it doesn't have chalky protein after taste that some higher protein foods do. It is very filling too. I would recommend trying this oatmeal if you are looking for a quick, filling, and tasty meal!

Sugar is the 2nd ingredient; there is WAY too much of it in here for this product to be considered “healthy”. Banana flavor is very artificial tasting, too. Was SO EXCITED to receive this for free to test out - especially because it was high protein - but I just can't get past the sugar content.
