Bad Batch or New Recipe? Bad taste.

The mix I purchased recently had an awful taste. I've purchased the mix many many times before and it has never tasted this bad. It tastes like medicine and cardboard. I've noticed a few other people within the past month mentioning the same issue. Either the recipe changed and its now awful OR there was a bad batch.

Brown Lemonade not Iced Tea

I grew up drinking this tea (now 52), about 10 years ago starting drinking a artificially sweetened tea. Last week I bought it again because of wanting to go back to sugar. This is not Iced Tea it is brown lemonade. I cannot even tell if there is a tea taste to it.

Great drink, but with a curiosity!

Between this and Gatorade, I have a hard time choosing to drink water, but that's not their fault! Tastes better than Snapple or Arizona teas, almost like what I used to brew and sweeten myself before I got lazy. Love it. I'm confused though... why the dye? Why Red 40? Remove it, and you won't lose any sales--might even gain some. Tea's not red anyway. Doesn't bother me any, but it's an odd inclusion where not necessary.

I love Lipton Iced Tea Mixes! My favorite are the Lipton Raspberry Iced Tea Mix and theLipton Peach Iced Tea Mix, but this one definitely did not disappoint! I like that you can add as much or as little powder as you like, rather than a teabag where you dont have much control. Definitely recommend!

I Love it

I do not care for carbonated beverages and needed to find something to drink. Lemon aid worked for a while but after a short time I wanted something else. Then I remembered my mother made our summertime favorite of fresh made Iced tea. I decided to make some up only to find that my body did not agree with it, mornings were dreadful and I often became ill.I also noticed that it would spoil or ferment quickly. Searching for that "fresh tea taste" my wife suggested that I try an instant tea. I grumbled... instant tea.. are you kidding me .. I tried "instant" years ago and remember the old glass jar in the back of the cabinet at my parents house (its probably still there). It was used for emergencies and you had to literally chisel it out of the jar and guess how many chunks to use. Well my wife never listens to my & bought this giant can of instant tea mix and made me a jug to try. I have to admit I liked the flavor, it has the tea taste with a hint of lemon and its sweet but not overly sweetened like the teas found down south but a nice refreshing sweetness. Best of all it never has the bitterness and it stores well; I have to admit that I drink a large amount if this tea everyday, well over a gallon, usually closer to 2 gallons. I take meds that make me thirsty and I always have sever cans of mix ready & waiting. Thank you for making a great drink mix that can be used all day, everyday, its delicious.

No Scoop included

At this point, I don't care what it tastes like. I hate the measuring, but to make matters worse, they stopped including a scoop, and changed the measurements to Tbsp & % of a cup because they are trying to get you to pay more for less. I hate that there is no longer a non-lemon option instead of lemon terpenes because that would cost more. Done with this and wish I could get my money back.

I love the taste of this tea and I basically grew up on this because of my grandparents I love the lemon ice tea flavor the only thing that I don’t like is the messiness of it all but I continue to buy it because that’s basically on me LOL this is a good alternative if you like to usually buy tease but you need something that can go along way because this is definitely last so long time

Keeps getting better

Has the right balance of tea and lemon flavor. - 5 simple ingredients I can feel good about. - Loose mix allows me to decide the sweetness level I desire with meal, snack, or staying hydrated. - I won't consume artificial sweeteners and am concerned about sugar sources. My top choice is nonGMO cane sugar, but this is close enough for now. They already changed from artificial dye to carrots for coloring, so I can wait. - Glad the scoop is gone. I've collected many over the years from many products. Can't keep them all nor are all recyclable, so I feel good this won't add more plastics to the sea. - My fav use is in Seltzer water. I add 3/4C. mix to 8oz. hot water for a liquid syrup. Then I'll add 1-4T. of syrup to 12oz. of seltzer. I like being in control of my sugar intake and that I can enjoy a light flavor for hydration or stronger flavor to enhance meal times.

Worth every penny

Normally I shy away from instant teas because of the odd aftertaste that they often have. This one is nothing like that. This comes the closest of any instant that I have tried to the taste of brewed tea. It has the convenience of an instant, in that you can quickly prepare any quantity you need (from a single glass to a pitcher), yet you don't sacrifice taste.
