Excellent Taste..

Immediately after brew it’s hot and slightly bitter. After it cools off a little in my cup the bitterness settles down and a slight earthiness comes forward. It’s drinkable but nothing supremo about it. But, for $6.39 a pound it’s not horrible coffee, just average. The issue with coffee beans is the entire industry makes it extremely difficult to trace the beans in your product back to the source where they came from. The product says small farms but so what? You don’t know what kind of crop that farm had the year these green beans were harvested. Things are changing in the industry and eventually the manufacture will be able to have more knowledge about from exactly where the green beans came from and what kinds of crops produced them and they will have to announce that information to their customer (us) making us more knowledgeable and allowing us the choice as to whether or not we want to buy it or not. Just because it’s Colombian Supremo doesn’t make it premium. Oh, I’m a retired coffee guy with twenty five plus years experience working for a major coffee manufacturer.

Great coffee

Makes a phenomenal cup of coffee! If your a coffee affecinado this is for you! I'm spoiled now. I can't go anywhere and get a coffee as good as this! Not even in a coffee shop.You folks that are on the fence about these beans need to do some homework. Know that you can adjust your grind(finer or more course)and temperature and get a whole new flavor. Clean your coffee maker? Anyway this one's a winner in my book.

My favorite coffee

Much darker than I expected. It reminded me of French Roast. I could not detect any "sweet chocolate & hazelnut notes" — it was quite bitter compared to other Columbian beans I have used. This one tasted almost charred. If you like French Roast, this will work for you. If you prefer medium Columbian, this is too dark.

I've loved the whole bean version of this coffee for years and now it's unavailable. Please bring it back!

old beans, not great, but usable

Consistently great taste over many years of buying these coffee beans. Wonderful aroma as well when making coffee from a freshly opened bag of beans.
