Smooth, Bold, and Affordable – A Great Daily Brew

If you’re a coffee enthusiast looking for premium-tier complexity, you might find this a little tame. But if you’re after a reliable, flavorful, and budget-friendly whole bean coffee, Member’s Mark Colombian Supremo is an excellent choice.

Tasty and Great Value

I consider myself somewhat of a "coffee snob" and have to say that this Colombian Supremo is darned good, especially for the price. I've been buying it from Sam's Club for a number of years. Some years are better than others, but there have been no "bad years". This coffee is in my regular rotation of single source beans.

Coffee review

This coffee has a great flavor. I love that I can grind the beans for daily use or grind a little extra for several days. I recommend, especially for the price.

Great, even for coffee snobs

My wife and I used to buy Starbuck's whole bean coffee from Sam's, but because of its increasingly steep price, we decided to try the much less expensive Member's Mark Colombian Supremo. It's easily the best coffee-related decision we've ever made. Not only is the MM Colombian Supremo as good as the Starbuck's coffees we used to buy, it is actually better, much better. We've been drinking nothing else for at least three years now. For those of you interested, we have a hint for you that changed our whole coffee experience. Our daughter lived in Seattle where coffee has the same status as fine wine, i.e., the city's fully of coffee snobs. My wife and I love strong coffee, but found it almost impossible to find strong coffee beans that weren't overly bitter and with a bite. A Seattle friend of daughter's told her about a tip she got from one of the top coffee roasters in Seattle. The friend told her that the key to great, but smooth, tasty strong coffee is to avoid using dark roast coffee and to instead always use a medium roast and less water to get a strong cup of coffee. We tried it, and the result has been a coffee-enjoyment game changer for us. We have a coffee maker that grounds the beans automatically, and we add the water. Our coffee making method is to always use 25% less water than the coffee maker calls for. For example, for 12 cups, I add only 9 cups of water, and always use medium roast MM Colombian Supremo beans. (for 8 cups use 6 cups of water, etc.) The result is a dark, silky smooth, robust coffee with absolutely no bite. If you like strong coffee try this. You'll never go back to Starbuck's or any other dark roast coffee.

Highly recommend. Better by far.

I love this coffee! My husband got an espresso machine for Father's Day. I bought several beans. Some expensive and highly recommended and expensive. However in a pinch I bought this while at Sam's and We love it. We are done searching. Better than the all the other we tried by far.

Members Mark coffee is a good value

Good value for the store brand whole bean coffee. The store has a machine to grind the beans, located in the aisle, which is not an easy process. There is no brush to sweep away the excess debris, nor is there a trash receptacle, so all the excess piles up and makes a mess on the grinding machine and floor. Not ideal, but at least they offer access to a grinder, I suppose.

Over roasted. Bitter. Lacking flavor.

Try a different roast. They're using the Starbucks method of torching the coffee until the flavor is gone.

25% increase in price since January 2025

I like this coffee but the price has increased 25% over the past 6 months. A generic brand asking premium prices.

G's coffee issue

The product is good, it's the packaging that's the problem. This picture shows the old way it was packaged with the black band around it so you could reseal it when done grinding it. But someone though of a "better way" of packaging it. I had a manager (Stacy) try to open it, it tore the bag, hard time placing bag under grinder, fill it and reseal it. What a mess and fiasco. She was apologetic, but it wasn't her fault. She understood the point I was making. I've been getting this coffee for years. There was nothing wrong with the old packaging with the black band around it. Also, reseal tape was furnished at the grinder to help reseal the bag if necessary. If you want to change something that wasn't broken, that is your choice. If making it harder on the consumer to grind your own brand of coffee, just have it ground up in the first place and do away with the grinding. Similar to the way Tim Horton coffee is. Their bag for whole bean bag is the way your brand was, and they also furnish already ground up coffee. GET BACK TO THE WAY IT WAS!!! And by the way, please write back and let me know what the fix is or not for this. Stacy was supposed to push something up the ladder. I would like to hear back if you are really concerned about my opinion. If not, don't ask me for any future survey thoughts. ty.
