Just tastes burnt to me

I did not read the description thoroughly before purchasing. This is a medium dark roast. I find all dark roast coffees taste burnt to me. As far as the Colombian part, it does do it for me. All I taste is a bitter flavor. I will be going back to my favorite Colombian Peaks purveyor. I am quite disappointed. That's what I deserve for choosing a different brand to save a few dollars. Alas it is a 40 ounce bag.

Weak but good for people with allergies

I am used to flavored coffee and pods to use with my Keurig but I have been reacting to all the different pods I trialed. I have gluten and dairy free diet restrictions and can consume this coffee (I put it in a reusable coffee pod) without reactions. I do flavor my own coffee per cup so I cannot comment directly on the taste of this one except that it does not taste bitter like the other non-flavored coffee I have tried.

I Like It

I've been drinking this Member's Mark Col. Supremo coffee for a few years now and it tastes good. In the past, I've purchased coffee beans from local businesses that roast coffee beans and I've ordered various other highly rated, whole bean coffees through the mail. While this Member's Mark Colombian Supremo isn't the best coffee I've ever had, it does taste good and the price is right.

Solid!

I think this coffee is pretty good for the price. I have found it tastes better with the beans ground a little coarser (as you would for a French press or cold brew) versus fine. That's when I get the chocolate notes. There are still some of the "chemical" notes I get from large-scale coffee like this, but I'm hoping that mellows out over the next few days. Is it a locally roasted, perfectly balanced cup of coffee? No. Is it a solid cup of coffee at a very affordable price? Yes. Next time, I'm going to try the lighter roast of Member's Mark, and would be curious how this compares to the Tim Horton beans...

GREAT BEANS AND GOOD TASTING COFFEE

Concrary to some negative reviews - this is great coffee particularly consitering the price. We have been drinking this columbian for about a year without any complaints. In fact this selection is as good or better than more expensive choices. Good work Sam's and please keep up the supply.

Very good coffee

I am very impressed with this coffee. The price per pound is great for what you get. We used one of the regional brands before trying this. We went back to that brand for one bag and found we preferred this over the other brand. I would definitely recommend giving this a try. I use an automatic drop but I am also wanting to try this using the pour-over and cold brew methods as well in the future.

Worth My Membership?

I was sad when the Sam's in Southaven, MS quit selling the Columbian Supremo Whole Bean Coffee. I'm glad to find it online. However, this coffee is the only reason I have continued to keep my 28 year membership going. Understanding that it is now only available online stops my necessity for traveling to the store where I would then purchase more items. Now, I am questioning my membership.

Not sure if I will try again

Dissapointed in this coffee. If you like Folgers you will find this to be the equivalent except you will have to grind. The coffee freshly ground just lays there and does not swell and expand as it should when the hot water hits it. Makes me think I may have gotten a really old batch.

It lacks flavor...

I just bought this coffee to try it out. In the past I have used Starbucks French Roast and Peet’s Major D among other brands. SB And P both had rich flavor. Unfortunately, I can’t say the same with this version of Sam’s Club medium roast. Perhaps it is because it is a medium roast and I am used to a darker roast. I will try out the French Roast version next time and hopefully I will like it.

Decent flavor and body but beware

First time I purchased this coffee from Sam's Club I bought one 40 oz. bag of whole bean coffee. Coffee tasted fresh and full bodied. I enjoyed it and it's very good price. We use a lot of coffee so the second time I purchased I bought 3 40 oz. bags of whole bean and picked it up at the local Sam's Club store. I opened a bag marked as whole bean and it was ground, so was one more bag so make sure what's in the bag by feeling the whole beans inside.
