Kind of good/darker than expected

3.5 Stars - these beans look dark, smells dark, as if 1 more second and they would qualify being a dark roast. I usually buy medium roast and this was supposed to be that. But, it drinks pretty good, medium bodied with some complexity & smokiness. After searching, this was supposed to be the club's best tasting/rated coffee beans. It's fairly good. Would I repurchase? Not that sure.

Members Mark Colombian Supremo Whole Bean Coffee

I have purchased this coffee for a couple years now and have really enjoyed it as a substitute for the more expensive Starbucks Coffee, however, the roasting process must have changed because the coffee no longer has an appealing taste. I have returned the last couple bags.

Bring back my 8-Oclock Columbian Peaks

Looked like my 8 Oclock Columbian Peaks was being closed out (gone), so I got a bag of this. It was okay with a small bit of the Peaks added to each cup. On my second bag (no choice & no Peaks left to mix) it had no aroma & just tastes over roasted. No chocolate tones. Fine if you like burnt toast flavor. Will have to find a replacement for the 8 Oclock. This will pass when the corporate "shortage" game is over.

this is okay

I've tried multiple different coffee beans and this is okay - definitely not my favorite. This bag after grinding my individual servings and brewing it (I do a French Press) it has a burnt taste. It's not bitter, which is awesome but it's hard to stomach the burnt taste. Did I get a bad batch? Maybe, but trying to work my way through the bag when I do NOT like the burnt flavor is going to take me a while. I may try some kind of flavored beans and grind them to mix a little in with this to hopefully weaken the burnt flavor. We will see. In short, it's okay but not something I'll buy again.

So good!

My sam's was out of my fav, the Starbucks house blend. This was in fact the only whole bean coffee available, I figured I'd give it a shot. It's so comparable to the Starbucks that I don't think I'll be spending the extra $7 on it! I'll stick with this! Great flavor.

Disappointing

I've been ordering my coffee online, from another retailer, but its kind of a hassle. Starbucks would have been an acceptable alternative, but it is no longer sold in the local club. This was the only alternative, so I thought I'd give it a shot. Its not so bad that I can't drink it, but bad enough to remind me that it was a mistake with every cup. I'd put it a step above pre-ground Folgers or Maxwell House, but easily below Starbucks, and well below my previous brand coffee beans.

A Great Taste Alternative to Peet's

Peet's Major Dickason blend is the coffee I generally prefer; but when I saw the Member's Mark Colombian Supremo at such a low price, I reluctantly bought a bag. What a wonderful surprise! The beans were as advertised. Roasted to a medium dark color with a slight oiliness, they yielded a delicious, rich, and non-bitter cup of coffee. And while the intensity of flavor was less bold than Peet's, the taste profile was nevertheless well balanced. I still love Peet's, but of late I have been reaching for the bag of MM Colombian Supremo first.

What every happened to the Colombian Supreme

This used to be my favorite coffee. Great taste, great price, great buy. This is no more. Ever since the change from Members Mark, the quality of this coffee has fallen through the floor. It is bitter and has a bad taste. Not a good buy. They must have changed the quality of the beans.

I have been buying this particular coffee for sometime, they changed the packing claiming it is the same coffee. Hate to say it, it is not, Does not have that rich coffee flavor so something changed. Also, there was a sign on the pallet for $9.98 so I thought the price had changed b/c I usually pay 15.98 for this. I almost ordered this on-line b/c store indicated it was out of stock, so was surprised to see it on the shelf. Tried to call and advise store, rang way too long. My guess is they received ground not whole bean and put the sign up for ground @9.98. ( inventory control experience for 20 years) so I know how this happens. So just a double whammy, price wrong and taste of coffee changed. I, actually have original old bag with upc and it matches the whole bean. .

Verified Purchase

Good price for Fair Trade beans ($.40/lb)

Good quality beans and best price I've seen around at $.40/lb.
