I recently purchased a television that was on sale at Sam’s Club at a very good price. After completing the purchase, I realized the television would not fit in my daughter’s car. I went to Customer Service and asked whether I could leave the television at the desk for approximately 30 minutes while I returned home to get my SUV.

I explained the situation to the associate, including that I simply needed a short amount of time to retrieve my vehicle. She informed me that I could not leave the television because she was not willing to be responsible for it. Unfortunately, I was also advised that the television could not be ordered for shipping through the Sam’s Club app.

As a result, I had no choice but to return the television. Once the return was processed, the item was no longer available for shipping at Sam’s Club. I ultimately ordered the same television from a competitor (BJ’s) at the same price and had it delivered the following morning.

While I understand store policies, I was disappointed that no alternative solution or flexibility was offered, particularly given the short timeframe and the fact that the item had already been purchased.
