I’m only giving one star because when I was a kid the easy bake oven came with everything you needed now it comes with nothing but the oven and everything else is sold separate. They made the design different and took everything out. They’re never in stock with everything you need either so the oven has just been sitting here. Not happy….

Unfortunately the world has change and so have the products of it over the yrs. this is not the oven we use to know and love. its been modified for safety and the quality is just not what we remember but again neither are the cars being made today, and they over charge for it, and we as consumers still buy. so moving on! This was just the Oven, Spatula, and 1 small pan. came new. No mixes.. however you can use Duncan hines Signature cake mixes french vanilla and strawberry supreme. sift the contents and create your own by spooning and leveling measuring 1/4c in baggies. and mixing 2Tblspn of water to mix... DONT FORGET TO SPRAY YOUR PAN. this will get you about 10 cakes per box. Now i must say my daughter is so excited to be able to make things on her own and i love to watch her creativity. i would give 5stars but have to take away one for the fact that they are overcharging and the quality is not what we as parents come to know and love of our childhood ovens. and No viewing window to enjoy watching it bake. and the mixes should be available at a reasonable price but aren't so have to get online and find some recipes. but over all Worked and the cakes we made tasted fine.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I recently received an offer to try the The new version of the Easy Bake oven and it is a great product for children that want to get involved in cooking. Directions were easy to follow and clean up was a breeze. Only downside is the packages are a little spendy.

First of all, if you are reading some of the reviews you might have noticed that every 4 and 5 star review has been collected as part of a promotion, now initially it doesn't seem like it, but as I was reading quite a few of those high reviews, I noticed that they have been duplicated word for word. The first one does not say it was collected as part of a promotion, but than it's carbon copy does. Very sketchy. My daughter received this toy on Christmas morning from Santa and it was definitely her favorite present, after opening all of her gifts she wanted to open up her new oven and get to baking, but she couldn't. Walmart sells this item for almost $50 and though it is understandable that everything pictured on the front of a box isn't necessarily included, you would think that with that kind of price tag, at least one item would be, to make the toy immediately usable. Now, I openly admit that we are yet to try the oven, so I have no idea if it will work well, but I do know that my daughter was very disappointed when she couldn't use her new, favorite toy and I know that Santa was very disappointed when he gave a gift that couldn't be used until at least the next day. Stores that carry the mixes aren't open on Christmas day. Though a premium price is charged for such mixes, I am confident that it would cost pennies on the dollar for Hasbro to included enough cookie mix to make one or two cookies. I know as a parent of a disappointed little girl, I would pay another dollar for the minimum amount of mix to be included in the original purchase of the oven. I think it's shameful to let a child down on Christmas morning because people might forget to take the time to read the fine print on your boxes. I strongly believe that this may happen, because when they have a $50 item and a name brand like Harbro, you expect the quality that Hasbro has delivered in the past. I sincerely hope that once I get my daughter some of the mixes that she wants to try, she does enjoy the oven as much as anticipated and that Hasbro seriously considers including some type of mix in the box, so that other children aren't as sad as my daughter was on Christmas morning, when I told her she wasn't able to bake anything today.

I had a Easy Bake Oven in the 60's and i loved it. It looked more like a stove then this one. I would love to buy one for my Granddaughter but this one is very ugly. why cant they make then to look like the original ones? i don't think i will buy one.

Do not waste your money. The mixes are so small. The design of the oven is difficult for an adult to work. My 9 yo couldn’t get the tray in and out and neither could I. Plus the dough sticks to the tray. Such a disappointing purchase. Just teach your kids to use a regular oven and mixes.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My kids and I had fun baking red velvet strawberry cakes! They definitely need adult supervision especially the first time. It was fun for them to follow directions a make a special treat. I feel like this product is a bit overpriced. Especially having to buy all of the cake mixes. It can get a bit expensive. But overall it’s fun for the kids and adults too!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It’s a really nice gift for kids, especially if they enjoy playing in the kitchen. Easy to use and great to teach them baking skills. They do need supervision while using this since it’s electric and it gets hot. The pan is really small. So cute. Can’t wait for my son to bake some cookies in it. I’ll post some more pictures with the baked cookies soon.

Honestly I thought this was great! Of course my 5 year old needs some supervision while using it. I don’t know why boomers are giving it a low rating bc it “doesn’t look like what I had growing up.” The one we had growing up was completely unsafe. My only complaint would be that it didn’t come with any packs of cake mix.

It has a timer to let you know when it's heated up and when the foods done. The brownies we made came out perfect. They tasted amazing. And the clean up.was so easy.
