The majority of the sodium occurs naturally from the ingredients used, not the addition of salt. Additionally, all salt is not created equal. We use only a small amount of sea salt solely for the nutritional benefit of the added minerals. Natural sea salt used sparingly can provide a plethora of health benefits including, but not limited to, strengthening the immune system.
