But I was wrong, it works so well and it has different colors and brightness. I can control with the Sylvania app and Alexa. To connect it to both was really easy. Now I can control through my phone and not having to stand up. I recommend it and would buy it again for other areas in my house.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These light bulbs are very nice. They connected the easiest I've ever connected smart bulbs before. The lights and colors are gorgeous. They work perfectly with my Alexa. They package says energy-efficient, which is amazing. The only downside is that they do have a little bit on a buzzing sound. Maybe it's just because I'm in a house full of neurodivergent people, but we all hear it. It's not bad enough where it's impossible to use them, but it's significant.

One clarification is that the instructions are not super clear, and I did not realize that the metal springs on the replacement light would interface with a little hook shaped piece of metal in the recessed can. It took a little bit of tinkering around until I realized this, and then everything came together in minutes. The lights look good and work well, but because they are recessed, they don't throw light, and are more of a spot. In my home office application, there were only two existing cans with lightbulbs, and so there was a little bit of a missing brightness when these were installed. I think if I had three recessed cans that spanned the width of the office, it wouldn't be an issue. Not the fault of the lights at all!

They are significantly brighter than what you are probably used to so you may have to adjust the settings a bit. Other than that . I had zero issues with the install or performance. The app allows you to adjust brightness and color of each bulb individually or as a group if you have more than one. They screw right into the socket just like any light bulb so installation is a breeze. The app can even sync with google alexa. So easy and no more worrying about the wrong colored bulbs in any of our spaces! I would highly recommend and plan on replacing more bulbs around my own house. I cannot speak to durability as I have not had the bulbs for longer than one month, but in that time at least I have not had any burn out or stop working with the app.

The App is super easy to work with and I love all the settings it has. You can literally change the bulb to any color whether you're changing it to a radiant color or a soft white to a warm white etc. You can set a schedule, sync the bulb to music (the least best feature) and much more. Not sure on the durability quite yet because I have yet to test that out but I'm honestly very happy!
