Rice is fine. Shipping the rice with anything heavy is not fine. It makes the rice come out of the crevices of the box and pour into the shipping box. Not edible rice after that. So if buying peanut butter or spaghetti sauce, for instance, not a good time to buy the rice.

This was a staple when living alone but fell to the wayside when I got a rice cooker. I recently found a greater way of preparing Minute Rice other than stove top cooking. Minute Rice cooks perfectly in crockpot casseroles - chicken divan, broccoli and cheese, burrito bowls and paella. It cooks in 30-40 minutes and absorbs all the flavors without constant attention or baking all day. We had enough rice for 6 crockpots! This is by far the best brand of instant rice.

I was so happy to finally purchase this large box of Minute White Rice! Since the corona virus pandemic, it's just been hard to find this type of rice let alone any kind of rice! I have been using this rice for years because it is quick to cook! 5 minutes and that's it! Especially when you are making a meal and you're short on time, best product to use! The Minute White rice can be used in many recipes and there are recipes on the box you can make. Love, love, love it! Although this rice hasn't been easy to find and purchase, I only bought one box because I didn't want to be greedy so others can buy and enjoy this product too. I highly recommend this product to anyone!

I usually make our rice in my instapot but when in a hurry this rice will work very well. I like using it with Dinty Moore Stew for a fast hearty meal. It tasted great and is SO easy to prepare. I use my electric teapot to boil the water which really speeds it up. When boiling pour over the rice (add butter or salt if you want), cover, and in 5 minutes it's done! I use a little less water than called for so I don't have water left in the bottom of the bowl. Yes, I would recommend this Minute Rice and have used it for many years.

Actually I buy the rice for my dogs as they are on a digestive diet. I love the 5 minute rice because I make a very large amount at one time. Easy to freeze . We also like the 5 minute rice with family meals. It's easy and quick to prepare. I was very happy that I could order this through Walmart as I couldn't find it any place else.

The rice is fine, nothing spectacular, good or bad. Packaging was very sub-par. 720 oz (10 72oz boxes) put all into one flimsy box. Packing box broke open on FedEx driver, and two of the boxes of rice split down the side. 80% of our order arrived ok, but that's not a great percentage to strive for.

I was very disappointed in this product. I bought two boxes and both had inedible pieces of rice hulls in it, making the product dangerous to consume considering pieces of rice hull can cause stomach and intestinal perforations. I'm sorry, but I don't want to have to spread my rice out on a flat surface and meticulously have to sift through hundreds of grains of rice to remove pieces of rice hull just to make it safe to consume.

I was first introduced to minute rice from a friend literally a few years ago and I’m almost 30. I had no idea such a thing existed and in typical grocery stores these boxes are quite expensive. Sam’s has the best price if you enjoy eating lots of rice, love this purchase. Definitely makes quick dinners a lot easier or if I’m trying to make a quicker lunch etc.

We really enjoy the Minute Rice. We use it for many dishes in our house and it's quick and easy to make on the stove top. The size and pricing is attractive, and we can get buy on a box for quite a bit. The only improvement that I'd like to see is a more "resealable" packaging option, as once it's open, you need to probably find another container to store the rest of it in, which is a bit disappointing. I'd love to have a small screw-top or similar on the packaging so it was more convenient to store in the original box.

When I don’t have time to make a regular pot of rice in my rice cooker, I rely on Minute Rice to save the day. It is very good and has always cooked perfectLy. I am disappointed that Sam’s Club no longer carries Minute Rice in the store. It is only available online. I cannot understand why Sam’s Club has instead chosen to replace Minute Rice in the store with a cheap brand of instant rice. Bring back the Minute Rice to the store.
