Minute Rice is so convenient to use, that I always like to have it on hand to use in a pinch. And, having a large box of it on hand means I won't run out.

Sometimes you just want/need a quick-fix rice, and this fills that requirement perfectly. The grains separate perfectly, with no stickiness. Boil water, add rice, let sit a few minutes, and that's it.

I'm not crazy about this rice, I prefer arborio but this is a staple in my teenage daughter's diet. It is easy to make and comes out perfect every time she makes it - winner!

A variation in preparation is to take equal parts rice and water, put them in a sealed container, place it in the refrigerator for an hour to overnight, and it will be ready to heat and eat anytime.

This product is an excellent side dish for chicken and roast with gravy. Always cooks fluffy and not sticky. This product arrived in good condition and within a couple of days after purchase.

I do prefer the regular cooking rice over minute rice but have learned letting the Minute Rice simmer for about 10 minutes with lid makes it not so soggy.

We buy the large sizes and then package them into "recipe" sizes in sealed containers. Saves time with prep and less expensive than buying smaller packaging.

The rice is fine. However, the box arrived partially opened. Rice spilled out in the packing box and left a trail in my house! I responded to a survey regarding the order but no one from Sam’s has bothered to contact me.
