Great update

I bought this after reading reviews in Consumer Reports, because I needed an extra for a dinner I was cooking for 25 people. My old crock put was about 30 years old, although still in working order. This one is way better, heating the soup much more quickly and keeping the food at an even temperature. The best part is the locking lid, which allowed for safe transport.

Husbands know best...Sometimes!

I really like my new upgraded crockpot. Not only can you carry it away from home in a nifty carrying bag, it has a digital timer on it! Once the time has ended, it automatically goes into warm mode. I didn't think I wanted or needed another crockpot until my husband bought me this one!

Upgrade

Needed something for transporting. I already own an older model crock pot that is still going strong but wanted a locking lid and travel bag. The sale price at Sam's Club was the clincher. After pricing travel bags at $40-$45, this purchase was a no-brainer, as it only cost a few more dollars for the crockpot and travel bag. I like the time and temperature features on this new one, too. Very pleased.

Best Crockpot

Our 20+ year old crockpot started having issues so I did a quick search of reviews and this model was a the top of the list! Bonus because it was available at Sam’s Club at a substantial savings! Already used it a couple of times and love the electronic operation!

Nice features

This is a very nice looking oval crockpot. The insert comes out for easy washing It is simple to operate. The lid will lock onto the crockpot for transport. I was surprised to see that it comes with an insulated carrying case which is a nice feature.

Great Crock pot! Perfect size & programmable too!

Sam's Club never disappoints with their small appliances including this great Crock pot! It's so pretty, large enough for big portions to freeze or take to a pot luck & the programmable feature is a big plus. I also love the locking lid & bonus carrying case & the price is a bargain! Thanks Sam's Club, you're simply the best!!!

Nicely sized crock pot

This crock pot replaced a 35 year old crock that had developed a crack. It's a couple quarts bigger and so much nicer than our old model. Used it a couple times now and it works great.

Slow cooker

I’m really happy with this crockpot overall. It cooks evenly, is easy to use, and does exactly what I hoped it would. The only downside is the lid design—the two side snaps that are supposed to hold the cover in place feel a bit wacky and awkward to use. They don’t feel as sturdy or intuitive as they should. That said, the crockpot itself works great and I’m enjoying it despite that small flaw.

Functional crock-pot with some nice additions.

The crock-pot cooks well and the lid locks are convenient for transporting food without getting in the way, like they did with a prior version. I also like the carrying bag that was included. My one complaint is that the rubber feet underneath, while providing a good cushion, make the crock-pot base tip easily when empty. This is not as bad when the crock is in the base, but it worries me that it will tip when a little pressure is applied to one side

Not what I expected

It doesn’t get as hot as my old crockpot. It has 3 small legs instead of 4 making the pot easy to tip over. This crockpot is just ok, not what I expected.

reply from CrockPot Support Team

Hi! Thank you for sharing your feedback on the Crock-Pot Design Series 7-Quart Cook & Carry Slow Cooker. We're sorry to hear that it hasn't met your expectations.

Regarding the heating issue, please note that manual slow cookers have simple on/off switches with temperature settings such as low, high, and sometimes warm. The low setting takes 7-8 hours to reach the simmer point (209°F), and the high setting takes 3-4 hours. The warm setting keeps the meal warm at 160-170°F. If your slow cooker does not heat properly or the temperature seems inconsistent, you might want to check the power cord connection, ensure the lid is tightly sealed, and try a different power outlet.

As for the design with three legs, we understand your concern about stability. The Cook & Carry models are designed with a unique locking lid system to prevent spills and facilitate easy transport, but we appreciate your feedback on the leg design and will pass it along to our product development team.

If you have any further questions or need assistance, please feel free to reach out to us directly via Contact Us form on our website.

Thank you!
CrockPot Consumer Care
