[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] There are only a handful of OLED TVs that are classed as the best right now in 2025. I picked this for it's all-rounder ability to do everything great! Receiving it is a delight but unlike TVs of the past and in smaller sizes, this 77 inch version of the G5 is a heavy and more importantly large TV. No longer can it be setup by one strong person. Once setup it is beautiful! Don't forget to peal of the screen protector. You'll be able to tell from the little red sticker on the bottom right that you can use to peal it off. I was scared that it was a layer on the display but thankfully it's a screen protector that's a life saver when putting grubbing hands on it when standing or mounting. Pros: - It may seem like a huge TV and it sure is, but it's one of the most stunning immersive experiences you can have with a TV. I jumped up from a 55 inch and it was a huge difference. This might sound crazy to some but while the official seating position is around 5-6 metres, i sit 2 metres away, and i would not have it any other way. Sitting 3+ metres away definitely gives you slightly better clarity, but less than 3 metres is definitely the way to go if you want pure immersion to the edges of your eyes. - The display is stunning, beautiful, soooo bright. No more issues with dim OLEDs which i don't think i ever had, but for my TV i moved from a LED to this OLED. It's going to be many many years before any tech beats the OLED TVs. QNEDs, LEDs, MiniLED, even with their coloured RGB backlights are still not good enough, so you can definitely rest that no tech will beat this TV in at least 5 years on this scale at a consumer price. - Getting a large TV can have it's issues such as with blowing up non 4K resolutions to 77 inches. I got this because of it's AI upscaling capabilities for SD and HD content. And i can say that regular TV viewing is greatly enhanced for a great large TV experience. This was actually my reason to go for the G5 instead of the C5. They are both equally as beautiful, but if want that extra push in the AI upscaling department that's where this shines. - Watching movies on this is so much like a mini cinema experience. Grab your popcorn, pizza, or bag Cheetos and you're sorted. I do a lot of Plex streaming to it and i absolutely love it. - Gaming is absolutely wowzers! It has a great gaming mode and playing games on this is one of the most amazing experiences you'll have. There can be a few difficulties when gaming if your sitting close to the display which i have noted in the cons, but this is a large TV issue and not an issue with this TV. Setting up consoles for this is a breeze, and you'll notice that every capability of current gen Xbox Series X and PlayStation 5 are usable on this TV - all those 4K HDR ALLM VRR High BIT etc. - The TV and is WebOS has a lot of features. Once you connect online to a wireless or wired network, you have a whole host of things you can download on it and do. Connectivity to Bluetooth controllers, networks, devices, and app services is simpler than many previous TVs and especially from other brands. - TruMotion is incredible! Use it where you wish but if you can make yourself adapt to it, it makes almost everything that much more amazing. I know it's blasphemous for many, but there are many secrets of the industry that will make you realise why film was made at 24 fps and not more. Once you peak your curiosity of what film was meant to be from the start, you may want to experiment, and that experimenting may just surprise you, if you can give yourself a couple of weeks to adapt. Cons: - As with all TVs, the built-in speakers aren't going to be comparable to external speaker systems, but they do a good job for internal speakers. The various sound modes are great, especially the AI audio enhancement, but don't expect miracles. - Since this is a Gallery TV, (which basically means it's so big that it's designed for wall mounting like a picture frame) it cannot be put on a stand by default. You can however purchase a universal large TV pedestal stand and mount it onto that and have it standing, and even on a stand it looks beautiful. I purchased a Bontec stand from Amazon. - Gaming has two issues which are more about large TVs than this TV. If you sit far away then this first issue is mitigated and that is that the large TV means that when you are playing games that require you to look to the edges of the screen, e.g., minimaps, HUD elements, you'll need to adapt yourself to looking when you can, otherwise you may realise you have to move so far away from the main content because of the large size, that when you look back, you've crashed your car. BUT every game is an absolutely beauty on these, and even more so when they have features such as HDR. The second issue is perhaps a bigger one, and that is, due to the large display, playing games at 30 fps caps are much more pronounced, and you feel the judder a lot more. I very rarely play a 30 fps game now on it because it's almost headache inducing for me, but then i am very sensitive to frame rates. The higher the frame rate on this high refresh rate TV the better. And anything 60 fps and higher is stunning! Conclusion You cannot go wrong with this TV. The top three TVs on the market are at this level, but the quality, build, features, AI upscaling, TruMotion, and other enhancements with it newer processor are something that made this TV stand out from the rest. The next thing is to find a sound system that matches it's beautiful picture for the true in-home cinema experience. Last bit of advice. You can definitely use this TV straight out of the box without doing anything in the settings, but i do recommended it. It can be daunting if you really want to set everything up and don't know where to start. Look for some setup guides and picture calibration guides on YouTube. Found one that was an hour long for the previous model, and using it calibrated the display to an even more stunning experience. Oh and keep that thing clean. OLEDs can be difficult to clean if you get finger prints on them. If you want it, buy it, love it, and never look back. Until it's 5 to 10 years time and you want to go to 100 inches!

I have had the LG B1 and LG C1 which I thought that their pictures were good, but this LG G5 is on a different level. No matter what type of picture you are watching (HD, SD HDR or Dolby Vision) the picture is superb. I particuarly like the AI personalised picture wizzard which adjusts the picture setting by giving you a series of picture examples to choose from. Highly recommended TV
