It’s now time for an upgrade, however the current desk setup restricts the screen size. I was looking at the G series line up but am disheartened that there is no 42” version. Like myself, there’s many others (I bet) that would like a G-series sitting as their monitor in-front of them. The blacks are absolute, the colors are vibrant and realistic, and the brightness is more than sufficient for any environment. The thin, minimalist design (Gallery Design) makes it look like a work of art on the wall, even when it's turned off. The combination of the massive 97-inch screen with LG's α9 (Alpha 9) processor results in a sharp, fluid, and incredibly immersive picture. Watching movies in 4K HDR or gaming is an experience I didn't know was possible to have at home. In summary, it's a premium product that delivers everything it promises and more. For those who demand the best quality and have the budget for it, it is the perfect choice. I am 100% satisfied!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The LG 83” G5 is a stunning TV and easily one of the best displays I’ve owned. The picture quality is phenomenal—deep blacks, excellent contrast, and a clean, vibrant image that looks fantastic no matter what I’m watching. Everything feels quick and responsive, and after a couple of weeks of daily use, the performance has been consistently excellent. From a pure viewing standpoint, this TV absolutely delivers. Where it falls short is in the gallery experience, which was a major reason I chose this model. During my research, I reviewed what appeared to be the gallery functionality for this TV, but after purchase I realized much of that content reflected the previous version of LG’s Gallery rather than the current Gallery Plus. The current implementation is more limited and seems to remove support for truly static images and other features that previously existed. I haven’t found a way to restore the older version, which was disappointing. Customization options could also be improved. More control over gallery behavior and system settings would better match the premium nature of the TV and elevate the overall experience. Overall, the LG 83” G5 offers incredible picture quality and strong performance, and I’m very happy with it as a TV. With improvements to the gallery software and deeper customization options, it could easily be a five-star product.

Gaming is elite (VRR/ALLM, super-low lag), and the ultra-sleek design hugs the wall with a fast smart platform. It’s pricey and huge to install, but if you want reference-level picture at a massive size, this is the one. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The 97-inch LG G5 is an incredible TV in sheer size and picture presence, but it’s important to know what you’re actually getting. Unlike the smaller G5 models, the 97-inch version does not use LG’s new four-stack/tandem OLED panel. Just like past years, the 97-inch models also skip MLA. From what I understand, it comes down to the way OLED panels are cut from a mother glass sheet. A 97-inch panel uses almost the entire sheet by itself, so LG can’t divide it into multiple panels like they do with smaller sizes. Since this size is already extremely expensive, adding the newest and most expensive panel tech might push the price even higher than it already is. So while the TV still delivers excellent OLED picture quality, you should know you’re not getting the latest generation panel advancements. If you’re buying specifically for the cutting-edge tech, this is something to keep in mind. If you’re buying for size and immersion, it’s unmatched.

Stunning picture but serious issue with volume output. I connected the TV to my stereo receiver using an optical cable and the volume was very low. I almost sent the TV back. The wall mount bracket that comes with the TV was relatively easy to install but the instructions were terrible - the available video cleared up my questions. No printed manual and the online manual offered zero information. The onscreen manual isn't much better.

It has high refresh rate and has an incredibly fast OS. I have a soundbar, but the sound out of the TV sounds really good. Picture quality is 2nd to none and looks really amazing, would recommend looking through all the modes to see what you prefer.
